Enjoy a fabulous family holiday or quiet, relaxing weekend break in our fully-equipped holiday home at beautiful Matheson Bay, just one hour north of Auckland and minutes from Leigh and Matakana.

The home is on two levels. Upstairs is an open-plan living/dining/kitchen area with amazing views. There's a deck for summer, and in winter an efficient wood-burning stove keeps the room snug. Downstairs there are four bedrooms, with heaters and hot water bottles for use in winter. One bedroom has an ensuite, and there is a main bathroom and upstairs toilet. Outside there's parking for four cars. (The driveway is extremely steep so take care when parking.)

We use the house regularly so it's very well equipped, including two comfortable king-sized beds, with all kitchen appliances, Sky TV, books, games and magazines. This home is a comfortable family home with warm furnishings. Linen and towels are available on request at an extra charge - just ask.

Matheson Bay Magic holiday home, on its section of native bush, has a secluded feel and stunning views - from Matheson beach to Tawharanui and across to Little Barrier. There's a deck with full sea views for outdoor eating - watch tuis and kereru and listen for morepork.

The property is a short walk (or an even shorter drive!) above a beautiful beach with safe swimming and a children's playground. Go for a paddle in our two-person kayak, get your dive gear on and head out to the bay, or go fishing from the rocks.

Local activities include the famous Matakana weekend market, lots of great local vineyards and cafes, some of New Zealand's best snorkelling and diving at Goat Island Marine Reserve, surfing at Pakiri Beach, and walking in Tawharanui Regional Reserve. There's also pottery, craft shops, horse riding and golf.
