Kauawhi Lodge is a luxurious three bedroom executive home located on the shores of Lake Taupo. This well-appointed and welcoming executive home won first place in category 6 of the Registered Master Builders' Federation House of the Year competition in 1999, and makes for the ultimate retreat.
This Acacia Bay executive home is a split-level manor and situated on a gorgeous lakefront property with direct access, via a path at the front of the house, to a secluded beach on the beautiful Lake Taupo. Folding sliding doors on the lakefront side of the house ensure a seamless transition from inside to outside during the summer months.
Outdoor living is key at this Acacia Bay accommodation, and the meticulously manicured gardens feature two ornamental pools making sure you can literally hear the tranquility! If you need to keep warm there's an outdoor fireplace, or you could even gather around the large Rinnai BBQ as you cook dinner! Upstairs there's yet more space to relax with deck chairs to sit back, relax, and take in the exquisite views.
Once you're inside, make your way into the lounge, laid out in luxury lodge style, with all the furniture in bespoke or antique style and where you find a Jetmaster fire, a TV, DVD player and DVD library. There's a Jaimo sound system with speakers stretching into both living areas, meaning you never have to be away from your favourite tunes. If you need some quiet, sink back into the Ralph Lauren couches and read up on cooking, hunting, or history with books that can be found in the extensive library. The mostly open plan layout provides seamless movement from the living space to the kitchen. Over in the kitchen, cooking's a charm with two Gaggenau dishwashers, granite and wooden bench tops, a microwave, an oven, a fridge/freezer with an ice and water dispenser, and a hidden butler's pantry with stable doors that lead out onto the back terrace.
Three elegant bedrooms with ensuites make up the living quarters. Upstairs, there's the master suite which contains a super king bed, Bose CD player, and walk-in wardrobe. The key feature is the balcony that offers an incredible vantage point to take in those breath-taking views when you wake up in the morning. Downstairs there are two more bedrooms, one with a queen sized bed and the other with two double beds. All of the linen provided is sumptuous 600-count Mondo linen, and you have the choice of fibre fill or feather/down duvets!
If you're planning something special, we can assist with concierge services, such as a hunting/fishing guide or a guest chef for dinner parties.
Indulge in relaxation, style and serenity at Kauawhi Lodge!
