Built in the 1960s, and set over two stories, Retroflection is a welcome blast from a design golden age past. This Waitahanui holiday home is able to accommodate up to 15 people. The main house has three bedrooms with a queen sized bed each - perfect for a group of couples - and the sleepout has three sets of bunk beds, one double bed, and a final single sized bed. With all that room, there's no excuse to not take the whole family! The sleepout combines a sleeping area with a rumpus room, and includes a marvellous cast iron fireplace and cool mid-century couches, meaning you can relax in both warmth and style. There's also a small kitchenette, for when you need to whip up a snack in the middle of the night.

Move back in to the main house in this Waitahanui accommodation and you find a variety of mod cons mingled amongst the vintage design. Stoke the other of the two vintage fireplaces and plug the iPod into the iPod dock in order to enter a mode of pure relaxation. In case that wasn't enough, there's wood supplied at Retroflection, so you'll never be left chilly! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to wine and dine while away with those special friends or family. There's an oven, cookware, and a large fridge/ freezer (for storing all those trout!), and afterwards, cleaning up is a breeze, as the dishwasher means you never have to spend any of your precious holiday time doing dishes!

Set over a large section and private garden, Retroflection offers plenty of room for parking, including space for a boat of up to 7 metres (just imagine how many trout you could fit on that!), a sundeck, and a private boat ramp (please enquire with Bachcare for further information on usage).

And best yet, Retroflection is in a wonderful location. You're only an hour or so drive from the Mountain during the winter months, and within 10 kms from all that the spectacular Taupo region has to offer. This includes heading out on the water to try your luck at fishing, enjoying the geothermal wonders that the region is so well known for, or simply taking in a quiet round of golf.
