Mangawhero is a near new, unique 3 double bedroom chalet with stunning views of snow capped Mt Ruapehu. The building design is based on the concept of yurt living, a sphere shaped design with a 4-metre tall dome ceiling and wrap-around views. This holiday home is situated in Turoa Yurt Village close to the Junction and has a focus on eco-friendly design with native landscaping. 'Mangawhero' is named after the river which flows down from the mountain through Ohakune. This is a destination marrying contemporary living with nature in a most delightful way!

The holiday home complements the local environment, from the high ceilings, to the circular shape, you will be tickled by its unique design. Stay in a chalet that is well insulated, double-glazed, contemporary, suited to its natural surroundings and well protected from the elements. Every detail has been thought out with comfort in mind (all beds supplied with electric blankets) and to take advantage of the north facing mountain views, it's a home away from home.

The light-filled, open-plan living space is a special feature of this property with its large kitchen and lounge area supplied with a heavy duty heat pump offering instant warmth after a day on the slopes or cooling after those hot summer days spent exploring the regions mountain bike and walking tracks. Along the outer part of the yurt are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (master with en-suite). Off the living area are the laundry and a separate drying room.

The amount of interior space will delight you and the home is supplied with a substantial deck to soak up the sun or entertain out on in summer. Ample windows provide just the sort of picturesque setting required of a well-earned holiday break.
