Adrift is an architecturally designed, split level, executive style beach house that opens out onto the large grass reserve on the beachfront at the eastern end of Opito Bay. With an expansive outlook along the beach and out to the Mercury islands, this is a luxury beach house in a much sought after location. With 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 3 showers.
Not suitable for children under 10 years as there are steep drop offs on stair wells.
The design comfortably combines spaciousness and privacy, wooden laminated floors and staircases, large glass sliding doors and wooden shutters, decking on both the mid floor and upper levels, this home has been successfully created for the full advantage of the spectacular views and good indoor/outdoor flows.
The mid floor level is dedicated to bedrooms and bathrooms, each bedroom features overlapping glass sliding doors and cedar shutters, ceiling fans, open shelving and wardrobes and all open onto an outside deck and patio area overlooking the beach.
The master bedroom has a queen bed, 2 director chairs, built in writing bureau and an ensuite bathroom containing a bath with shower over, large vanity, toilet, heated towel rail and under tile heating. The smaller second bedroom also has a queen sized bed, 2 directors chairs and a cane armchair. The third larger children's bedroom has two sets of wooden single bunks, 2 modern leather modular sofas, 28" plasma screen TV, sound surround, DVD and MP3 port.
The main bathroom has a large shower, vanity, toilet, heated towel rail and under tile heating. There is also a private outdoor shower next to a patio area which leads down to the beach. The separate laundry has a front loading washing machine and drier.
The upper level is designed for entertaining with a modern kitchen, dining and living all in one. Features include oak tongue & groove flooring, high panel windows and large overlapping glass sliding doors that allow the stunning 270 degree view into the room. With a full length sundeck on the seaside and a smaller sheltered deck on the native tree planted side, the expansive vista can be enjoyed in all weathers from any position. Just as lovely for winter stays with heat pumps for air conditioning and heating as well as a wood burner firebox.
The modern kitchen has reconstituted stone bench tops, a double sink, 4 burner bench gas hob and electric oven, rangehood, microwave, espresso coffee machine, blender, dishwasher, large integrated fridge and freezer units, toaster, electric jug and a selection of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware. The dining area has a breakfast bar with 4 bar stools, and a large wooden rectangular dining table with 8 wooden moulded chairs. The lounge area has a 2 unit modular leather sofa, coffee table and a wood burning firebox.
The stylish outdoor furniture includes a large teak table and chairs, a BBQ and gas cooker. There is off-street parking for two vehicles in the driveway and a sheltered fish filleting bench. There is landline telephone for local calls, toll call facilities may be available with prior arrangement. No pets permitted. No Smoking.
