This Tairua Bach on the Coromandel Peninsula is an original Lockwood style Kiwi Bach on an elevated site with great views of the Tairua Harbour and across to Pauanui. Sit on the front deck and watch the comings and goings of boats to Pauanui and the Waterways, or enjoy the late afternoon sun out the back.

This traditional Tairua bach is circa 1960s and has 2 bedrooms plus a sleepout and can sleep up to 6 people. The main bedroom has a queen sized bed, and the other bach bedroom has a single and a set of bunks. The sleepout has 1 single bed. The layout is simple and all the basics you need are here

Tairua Escape is just 500-600 meters to the Tairua wharf and boat ramp for the ferry to Pauanui, a spot of fishing on the wharf for the kids or to launch the Boat. It is also close to a ramp to launch the boat.


It is just a few minutes stroll to the shops and a short drive to Ocean Beach for a surf or a swim and has a surf patrol. Tairua school playground is across the road.
