Miharo Lodge is a tidy, single-storey 3-bedroom house situated in the quiet village of Rangataua, on the outskirts of the Ohakune township, less than a 5 minute drive to The Junction and Ohakune.

Miharo means 'to wonder at, or admire'... the open-plan living and dining area has french doors opening onto a large deck with amazing views of Mt Ruapehu and Turoa Ski Area. Just pull the curtains to check the snow report, or kick back after a day on the slopes and enjoy a stunning mountain sunset!

This Rangataua holiday home sleeps 7 people comfortably, with a maximum occupancy of 8. The house is ideal for couples or families, with double beds in all three bedrooms. The third bedroom has a single bunk above the double bed. There is also room for a fold-out bed (provided) in one of the main bedrooms, should an extra 8th bed be required, and a portacot is available. All beds are fitted with electric blankets to keep you warm and toasty. Warm duvets, extra blankets and hot water bottles are also provided for your comfort and convenience.

The modern kitchen is fully equipped (high-chair provided) and the house has a separate bathroom and toilet. The spacious lounge has a large fire which keeps the entire house warm and cozy, with heaters provided in the bedrooms if an extra burst of warmth is needed. There are plenty of drying racks supplied so your gear will be warm and dry for the next day's skiing or boarding. Should you decide to stay in, the living area has a stereo with mp3 input, Freeview TV and a DVD player. There is also a second Freeview TV in one of the bedrooms.

Miharo Lodge is approximately 5 minutes drive (4km) to The Junction and the beginning of the Mountain Road, leading up to the Turoa Ski Area. Ohakune township is only 6 minutes drive (5km) away. Whakapapa Ski Area, on the other side of Mt Ruapehu, is approximately 40 minutes drive by car.

With skiing, mountain biking, hiking/walking, horse riding, swimming and fishing right on your doorstep, this Rangataua holiday home is the perfect all-season accommodation for families or small groups wanting somewhere quiet to stay, but still close to local restaurants and amenities, and all that the Central Plateau / Ruapehu region has to offer!
