Korimako cottage is named after the Bellbirds that frequent the area. The peaceful and quiet environment surrounding Korimako cottage ensures that you won't miss these amazing little songbirds, which you can listen to while relaxing on the sunny front deck....!

In winter, modern insulation, double glazing and a huge new Hypercore heat pump, keep things toasty! Electric blankets ensure that beds are cosy and warm after a long day on the ski slopes...

The lovely and spacious open-plan kitchen and living area flows out onto the timber deck via dual sliding-glass doors, making this a fun and practical holiday retreat. The large master bedroom has its own sliding glass doors onto the deck, as well as an ensuite bathroom with shower.

The sleeping accommodation at Korimako Cottage offers 2 bedrooms fitted with a Queen bed each, as well as a third bedroom with 1 single trundle bed. You will also find an additional camp cot and mattress located in the wardrobe of bedroom 3.

Just a few minutes' walk from the Hawea river, Lake Hawea, and the village centre, shops and playground; Korimako Cottage is both close to the local amenities, and a peaceful getaway. Walking and biking tracks provide easy access to the lake shore and river banks. At 35 km long, Lake Hawea is a massive and unspoiled natural resource which supports a broad range of wildlife, and recreational activities!

Lay back and take in the scenic views from the comfort of this holiday home, or set out on an adventure! The spectacular scenery of Mt Aspiring National Park is just a short drive away, with endless options for wilderness tramping and alpine adventures! For winter fun the region is unparalleled in NZ, with the alpine ski resorts of Treble Cone, Cardrona and Snow Park, and the cross country ski tracks of Snow Farm all around 30 minutes drive away. The Remarkables and Coronet Peak ski areas are also in easy reach for day trips!
