The Glass House is a Kerry Mason designed Kaiteriteri holiday home set in a spectacular location. You'll find yourself being offered incredible views north out towards Abel Tasman National Park, and south over Kaiteriteri beach and towards Nelson.
This beautifully presented Kaiteriteri holiday home is decorated in a single light colour, and the floors are either in sea-grass carpet or are beautifully tiled, as in the bathrooms. Simple, fresh and relaxed, The Glass House was designed to be full of light, meaning you can look through from one side to the other, giving a sense of freshness and relaxation that few other holiday homes offer.
The bedrooms are arranged sequentially, and are not linked by an interior passageway. Instead, in keeping with the glass house feel, the rooms are uniquely linked by two stunning 'external hallways' made possible by two spacious decks. As you walk along you'll find a bunk room with enough room for eight people, and two bedrooms with queen sized beds in each, one of which has its own ensuite.
The living area at this Kaiteriteri accommodation is well appointed, tasteful, and perfectly suited for checking out the pristine view. There are comfortable and superbly designed couches and chairs, a TV with Freeview and a DVD player, and plenty of artwork that's easy on the eye. A bench dining table, with room for the whole family, sits next to the modern kitchen, where you can find all the mod cons needed for that perfect meal, including an oven, microwave, and even a dishwasher (so you won't have to worry about the dishes afterwards!). There are children's games and toys to keep them entertained as you cook dinner in the kitchen, or, if you prefer, on the BBQ on the deck.
Kaiteriteri sits on the western side of Tasman Bay and is close to both Abel Tasman and Kahurangi National Parks (can you hear those native birds singing already?!). If you're in need of civilisation, Motueka is a 20 minute drive away and Nelson is a little over an hour's drive away, making it the perfect destination for a day trip.
Feeling like you need to see clearly again? Then it's time to escape to The Glass House!
