“Would have been 5 stars, but owner (presumably) has left a laminated notice requesting all rubbish to be taken away by the renter or taken to the tip.”
The rubbish bins appeared to be unused. Not a major issue, but we had not expected to be denied use of the council rubbish collections. Otherwise our third stay at this property were was just as good as the previous two.

The addition of a âbowrandaâ over the deck has further enhanced the property. Everything was as advertised, absolutely no complaints.

Itâs only a couple of minutes drive from the town centre and beach. The facilities at the property were excellent and really well maintained. We were in awe of how new everything was and credit to the owners for keeping it that way. Beds were really comfortable and there were more kitchen items available for use then you would normally find at most baches. Itâs really difficult to pin point anything that the owners need to work on - a suggestion would be to provide SKY TV but I guess itâs not a necessity. Thanks for the wonderful stay and would highly recommend this property for anyone looking looking for a nice stay in Whangamata.

The meet and greet went well and Katrina explained how to work everything and we were away . The bach is newly renovated which was another win and looked awesome - fresh and clean and very relaxing environment . The bach is close to the store for whatever you need and the beach is a few streets away . The indoor outdoor flow on the bach was equally awesome for the family to sprawl from one area to another - perfect BBQ and seating area . I will be back to this bach , made lovely family memories here with my family from the UK . Well done Katrina and pass on our thanks to the owners - 5 star bach

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. Weâll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.
The property
Fun at Whangamata is a fully renovated (December 2018) holiday house in a great location close to the estuary. This relaxed beach base is an easy option for extended family groups, with sleeping for up to 10 guests within walking distance to the local shops and the beach! Set on a generous and private section, this stylish Whangamata holiday home includes bright and beachy open plan living in the main house. With a heat pump this is the perfect place for both summer and winter stays. Relax on the sheltered deck enjoying a BBQ while the kids play in the spacious yard! In the main house bedrooms 1 and 2 have Queen beds, while bedroom 3 has 2 King Singles. In the Sleep-out, bedroom 1 has a Double bed, while bedroom 2 has a Queen bed. A bathroom with shower in each dwelling ensure a convenient group layout. Whether you are after complete relaxation or adventure, this is a great base to return to... About the location
Whangamata is a favourite holiday destination in the Coromandel. It has one of the best surf breaks in the area, as well as having safe enough swimming for families. Behind the well-equipped town is a large forest park, with walking tracks and biking trails through lush native forest.
