Plenty of comfortable space to spread out and relax. Great locality. Bonus to be able to walk the kayaks down to the lake, and walk to the supermarket. Highly recommend.

Lots of space for our group. The facilities were good - only minor feedback it that the steak knives were past their best and the toaster didn't work well (one needed to hold the toaster lever down for sometime before it would hold)

It had all the convenience items everyone comes to expect... with the unexpected additional bonus of a coffee maker! The house has a cool upstairs area for the kids to play in the sun with heaps of puzzles and games. The lake is just a couple of minutes walk which was also good to allow the kids to let off some steam. We would definitely look at heading back to this property on our next visit to Taupo.

Our 3 families (12 people) really enjoyed our stay. The 3 bathrooms were so good with so many people as well as the separate spaces for the kids and adults to enjoy their time. Was lovely and warm with the pellet fireplace, plenty of spare bedding, heated towel rails and bedroom panel heaters. The kitchen was full of everything we needed to cook our meals. Location was great to. Quick walk to the lake and close to the Fishbox which was great for a quick takeaway.

Taupo Escape is a 4 bedroom 3 bathroom Rainbow Point holiday home at Lake Taupo, now with Wi-Fi! Enjoying peaceful lake views, this spacious and modern holiday home is an excellent option for couples and family groups to unwind at the lake! This 2 storey Rainbow Point holiday home includes open plan living downstairs, with easy outdoor flow onto the private deck and front yard - this is a fantastic spot for BBQs with your group! Upstairs, a second lounge ensures everyone has their space, and the upper deck is perfect for unwinding with a view. Downstairs at this Rainbow Point accommodation, bedrooms 1 and 2 are each fitted with a queen bed. Bedroom 3 has a double bunk with a single over top plus a single bed, and bedroom 4 includes a queen bed. When required, a sofa bed, a rollaway and a king single bed are also available in the upstairs lounge. To complete your convenient holiday set up, bedrooms 1 and 2 both have an ensuite bathroom, and a third bathroom services the remaining bedrooms. Fire up the BBQ and dine al fresco, chill out and admire the lake vistas, or head to the lake edge just moments from your door... Head to the lake and enjoy your Taupo Escape!

Just an 8 minute drive around the lake from Taupo Central, Wharewaka is a great base for a relaxing or adventure-packed holiday. It's out of the hustle and bustle of the centre, but still close to many of the bucket-list activities Taupo has to offer such as going out on the lake, visiting Huka Falls or even making the trek along the Tongariro Crossing. All of our Wharewaka holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.
