- The kitchen & facilities all worked well. - The WiFi and TV worked well - was able to cast Netflix from my phone. - The house was comfortable and we had a nice stay - The lawns were neatly mowed and the house mostly clean when we arrived - although there was a lollipop covered in ants on one of the beds. ....BUT.... The listing was factually incorrect and made it look significantly better than it actually is - which has left me feeling disappointed & ripped off: - There was no ability to access the lake. This feature was a key element to my decision to book - but it was wrong! - The photos showed an umbrella on the deck - had there actually been an umbrella the deck it would have been easier to sit there and enjoy the glorious weather. - The furniture is generally old and grubby. - The bathrooms are in poor condition - broken shower mixer that is hard to turn, delaminating benches. They look so modern and shiny in the photos. Sorry about misplacing the key. I am guessing it will emerge within the house some time. Thanks to Bachcare for handling this professionally. I also note that Bachcare have already contacted me and are following up with the owner about the incorrect listing - I appreciate this.

Lucky all but one of the smoke alarms were missing or else we would've set them off! If there was a fire, though, the leaking roof would've preventing it spreading throughout the entire house. (Water dripping from a large area of the ceiling onto the dining table, chairs, and carpet) The home is in generally poor condition - but that is totally fine if you are looking for the typical kiwi bach. The lack of smoke alarms (safety issue) coupled with the home not being weathertight were too much though. Would definitely not stay here again.

Charyse “Great location, Bachcare was awesome to deal with and left good instructions, beautiful views and awesome for a big family (we had 9 adults and 2 kids) plenty of room for everyone.”
Living area was awesome, with very comfy couches. As we had a lot of activities jt was also a min away from a dairy, fish and chips, dry cleaners. And only about 5-10 mins away from main activities - luge, motion entertainment, cat cafe etc this was very essential for us. There was general wear and tear in the house, however we did not mind this is expected with a large home but some things may need looking at for convince of next stay. Top floor bottom light switch keep flicking on and off, wear and tear in outdoor chairs on deck (some you couldn’t sit on as continue tearing) no bulb in laundry, shower handle top floor loose, in lounge area carpet was wet and could visibly see water spots in roof, and roof was warping possibly from the water?? Rubbish left under a bed in the bottom floor. As stated this did not bother us - but I could easily see how it could bother others. I saw another review about a dryer/clothes rack being added, I think this would be great. We did use dry cleaner up the road, but this will be easier.

Wingara “Really appreciated the relaxing vibe, we actually hired it for my dads 55th bday dinner and a couple off quiet cold ones and he thoroughly enjoyed his stay, my younger siblings also enjoyed their stay aswell.”

We wanted to use the bbq however it was nowhere to be seen. The dishwasher wasn’t working properly then stopped altogether. Could do with updated (or cleaned) furniture. Not sure if soap is normally provided to Bachcare homes but there was none - even one block in each bathroom would’ve been nice to start us off … it’s just the little things that count. Some of the beds were not comfortable. Overall we were disappointed for the cost of the 3 night stay.

Benjamin “The lockbox didnt work.”
However when we called bachcare which is bit of pain going through a third party. as noone answered straight away and took time to get into the property. When we finally did get a hold of someone they came around straight away and couldnt help but give there only spare key.

Plenty of heaters was good. Light bulbs need replacing in some lights & the light in the bathroom above the garage can't be used because the switch is broken. Also heated towel rails don't work.

We had a few young kids stay with us and the property had fencing and was generally safe. The size of the house was great for lots of people. Had trouble getting into the property because the instructions for getting in had not been updated through the system. Bachcare was very difficult to get a hold of. The curtains upstairs needed replacing and needed a thorough clean throughout the place.

Gill “A roomy house that’s suitable for a large family gathering.”
A few of the single beds would do well being replaced and some of the windows needed recurtaining to completely cover the windows. Great views and outdoor area.

Stunning views from the deck across the lake. Good garage for storing bike and easy ride to Skyline gondola.

A large new deck with views across the lake made a great outdoor flow. Kirsty from bachcare was awesome, and went the extra mile packaging up a camera bag and gear we left behind and popping it on a courier for us!

Helen “A beautiful and peaceful spot to stay.”
Close to shops. However , we were disappointed in the cleanliness of the house. Light bulbs not working, BBQ was replaced after we made complaint which was initially not responded to. Upon our insistence it was replaced with a brand new lovely BBQ. Towels and linen were all lovely. A lovely cool summer home with plenty of space. A broom to sweep the kitchen and a good tidy up of the garage wouldn't go amiss.Also some board games, books and water equipment for kids would be great.

If you're looking for lots of space for family, beautiful lake views this is the place! Although the batch was a bit dated in some areas, it didn't matter because there was plenty of space and that view ! Breathtaking! Will definitely book again !!
