  6. Arthurs Point Queenstown Villa

Arthurs Point is a village in the suburb of Queenstown on the south island of New Zealand. It’s a locality with an exclusive point of access to Coronet Peak, a quiet place devoid of the bustle in the city.

Arthurs Point has loads of places or things to do here, full of originality and ambiance. You can quickly get here using Queenstown’s Gorge Road across the famous Edith Cavell Bridge.

In November 1862, Thomas Arthur discovered gold on the banks of the Shotover River. A subsequent settlement followed, with a population of approximately 1,320 by now. Therefore, the village was named Arthurs Point, after the prospector.

Besides the Arthurs Point Gorge Scenic Reserve, this area offers access to the moonlight track trail to view some of the town’s mining history.

Additionally, it gives access to Moke and Lomond Lakes, and alternatively, you can also use the Oxenbridge Tunnel Track from the Edith Cavell Bridge.

Queenstown to Arthurs Point is only a 10-minute drive!

If you have planned a family getaway or moments with your better half, this is the most amazing place. You can get to Arthurs Point by driving from Queenstown, a 10-minute drive, or take the regular number 2 bus. You can also get here by hiking but only from the direction of Arrowtown, 15 minutes away.

Arthurs Point Accommodation & Apartments – Modern Accommodation for Couples and Families

Coronet Base Apartment

Residence du Parc is a new establishment that overlooks the historic Shotover River and the backside of Queenstown hill. The other side of the Coronet Base Apartment faces an alpine mountain environment offering iconic spectacles of natural spas and wineries. Apartments here suit families or groups, and they’re fitted with all modern amenities, including;

  • Fully air-conditioned living and bedrooms

2. Queenstown Mountain Heaven – Arthurs Point Holiday Apartment

Nine minutes away from Queenstown center, Queenstown Mountain Heaven offers family and pet-friendly accommodation in the Arthurs Point Holiday Apartment. It’s a 2-bedroom, stylishly decorated modern holiday stop with free Wi-Fi, TV, and private parking facilities. A fully equipped kitchen provides a microwave oven, dishwasher, fridge, oven, and washing machine.

Queenstown Mountain Heaven

You can take in the spectacular scenery from the balcony with outdoor seating during warm weather or cozy on comfortable couches in front of a gas-lit fireplace during winter. The Queenstown Mountain Heaven apartment sleeps up to four guests and features a master bedroom with a king and a single bed. On waking up in the morning, whip up your favorite beverage with the provided Nespresso machine before hitting the nearby slopes or hot pools.

There are over 200 activities that you can book for around Arthur Point, an adventurous mecca for skiers and mountain bikers. Shotover River for the jet boat, the Ben Lomond walkway, and the Onsen hot pools are nearby, while the Millbrook Resort Golf Course and Lake Wakatipu are situated a few minutes away.

3. Residence Du Parc Apartment – Arthurs Point

The Residence Du Parc Apartment consists of a modern alpine-style building housing 12 apartments, nestled at the base of Coronet Peak in Arthurs point. You can relax in the beer or gin gardens and take photos while looking out over Morningstar beach or Edith Cavell Bridge.

Outside of Arthurs Point there are also many things to do in Queenstown, or even take a trip to the beautiful Wanaka. Whatever you end up doing, we are sure it will be an amazing and unforgettable experience to visit this part of New Zealand.
