The mosaic of flavours found in their wines are due to the clay, sandstone and ancient kauri forest that make up the soil. Their cellar door offers free tastings paired with local chutneys, sauces and nuts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Lochiel Estate<\/a>: Part of the Mangawhai<\/a> wine district, Lochiel Estate is a family run boutique winery. They produce small batches of quality wines from grapes grown and hand-picked right on the property. Not only do they produce excellent wine, but hosts Gary and Liz are also famously friendly, hard-working and informative hosts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Karikari Estate<\/a>: Settled on the Karikari Peninsula<\/a>, this is New Zealand’s most northern winery. Their Chardonnay, Pinotage and Syrah have won them many International awards and recognition, including Bronze at the 2016 San Francisco International Wine Show. The actual site has a winery cafe where you can pair their wine with a scrumptious platter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
