“House shows pictures of beautiful spa with lid off, this is one of the reasons we chose this property.”

Upon arrival it says spa not for guests use, this is false advertising. House smells very old and musty hits you as soon as you walk in. Power points don’t work in upstairs bathroom, jets dont work in bath, remote to fireplace doesn’t work, Dryer doesn’t work, insinkerator not working very overpriced for what it is there is way better options way cheaper, we wouldn’t stay here again.

“Although this was a lovely place to stay our experience was a comedy of errors - but not fun.”

When we arrived we couldn't access the property as the code we were given didn't work. Half an hour and several phone calls later we were able to get in at last - the code was totally wrong. This was very stressful as we had a 2 month old baby arriving any minute and this had the potential to be disastrous. Once in we couldn't use the internet and again had to make phone calls. The password was wrong! Later, we tried to empty the bins in the locked shed but hadn't been given a key and once again we had to make phone calls. The microwave stopped working and more phone calls were made for a replacement. And again, with an infant in tow it was inconvenient. There was a wasps nest and very large wasps in the childrens' cubby so we couldn't let them play in it and last but not least the flush button on the toilet in the main bathroom kept sticking. We enjoyed our stay nevertheless but the attention to detail was non existent.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

About the location

A 40-minute drive north of Auckland and you'll find yourself on the picturesque Whangaparaoa Peninsula. The area's name is the Maori translation for Bay of Whales, as often Orca whales and dolphins can be seen entering the peninsula.
