Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

Built in 1876 by Captain Bruce, this historic holiday home combines original furniture pieces with the comforts of today. A well-appointed living-dining area provides space and warmth, while a second lounge means there’s ample room for friends and family. The functional kitchen is ready to prepare hearty meals for all to enjoy. Split over two levels, Bruce Cottage sleeps up to six guests. The two ground-floor bedrooms are comprised of queen-size beds, while the upstairs bedroom enjoys two singles. A full bathroom plus an additional washing machine provides the conveniences for your stay. Step out onto gorgeous, covered decking and appreciate these tranquil grounds. Outdoor seating in the garden is the ideal spot to alfresco dine, while there is a BBQ and kayaks available to use, as well as additional outdoor seating. Perfectly positioned in Akaroa, you’re just a short stroll from all this historic village has to offer. Waterfront cafes and restaurants, Ethel’s Cinema and the Akaroa Library are all within a two-minute walk. For cottage charm in central Akaroa – Bruce Cottage awaits!
