“Amazing views from a good sized bach.”
No off street parking as stated in the ad as the owners Porsche was parked there. We were woken by construction on the property (carport) just after 7am our first morning. A door at the back of the entry drying room is accessible from the unit next door (locked from our side). This was opened by contractors in the neighboring unit without our permission. No off street parking as stated in the ad as the owners Porsche was parked there. We were woken by construction on the property (carport) just after 7am our first morning. A door at the back of the entry drying room is accessible from the unit next door (locked from our side). This was opened by contractors in the neighboring unit without our permission. On the last morning we were woken at 6:45am by the owners moving their campervan and setting off their car alarm (that were parked on the space we were meant to be using). No longer fully fenced (gate has been removed). The yard is shared with the unit behind. We made three calls to Bachcare with our concerns as they happened, which they followed up. No Wifi. No instructions for anything including the washing machine or what to do with used linen. No local information. Great drying room but no pegs to hang washing up with. Only three (drinking) glasses for a house that can host 6 guests. Liquid soap in bathroom was empty, rubbish bins (wheelie bins outside) were over flowing, dishes in the dishwasher when we arrived, furniture was dusty and the stove top was dirty. Considering we paid a huge cleaning fee the house should have been 'clean'. The shower is extremely tired (70's original). There is a big step up into the shower with loose tiles on the window sill. Definitely not a relaxing shower. Only seating for three (one of which is damaged) on the front porch for a house that can host six.

Elevated above the street, this outdoor space provides gorgeous views of the bay and Banks Peninsulaâs majestic scenery! This central Akaroa location means youâre within walking distance from the shops, cafes and galleries this historic French village has on offer. Meanwhile, youâre located right between French Bay and the Main Wharf, both a short stroll down the road! Please note that parking is free, but limited times apply.
