ClaireStayed February 2020
This is a lovely property. It ihas an idyllic setting with an outlook that takes in views of the Stone Store and the surrounding treed valley and Kerikeri inlet. It’s an easy walk to neighbouring Kemp House and a very good cafe/bar/restaurant. The stunning Rainbow Falls are a near drive or a short hike riverside for the less lazy. The house feels like an “old school” 1970s bach with stylish, but functional furniture and design flourishes. It’s very comfortable and served our cross-generational group of six well. The pool is a like a Palm Springs dream, but fringed with nikau and kauri. It’s huge with both shallows to wallow in and depth to dive and properly swim. The wifi was sound and the ability to use Chromecast on the brand spanking new TV was appreciated by the teens and tech aficionado of our party. Add super comfy beds and decent shower pressure and you’ll not want to leave.
