At days end, relax in front of the Smart TV with Freeview or share your holiday snaps on the complimentary WiFi, before retiring to the plush queen bed in the bedroom with a view. If you’re wanting to unleash your adventurous side, Bike Glendhu is a three-minute bike ride or nine-minute walk from the cottage, where you’ll be able to discover some great biking trails and landscapes. The Velo Cafe at Bike Glendhu is sure to give you that all-important coffee fix, and treat you to some delicious South Island fare. And, if you stay at Glendhu Station Cottage for three nights or more, you'll receive a complimentary $50 voucher to spend at Bike Glendhu or the Velo Cafe!* If you’re wanting to hit the slopes for a winter adventure, Treble Cone ski field is a 22-minute drive from Glendhu Station Cottage, and Cardrona can be reached in about an hour. Park your boat at Glendhu Station Cottage, then launch a one-minute drive away at the Glendhu Bay public boat ramp for a beautiful day on the lake. If you're needing a bit of retail therapy, take the 15-minute drive to the Wanaka town centre to explore the excellent variety of boutique shops, or dine at one of the great restaurants, cafes and bars. Relaxation, adventure and incredible memories await at Glendhu Station Cottage!

lovely walk from house, a few minutes to lake edge and walk around lake. Close to Treble Cone. Clean, nice cotton linen. Everything you need but small, limited comfortable chairs, cooking arrangements limited but, again, adequate. Great shower.

“Absolutely Beautiful!”

We loved it - Definitely recommend!! Our little getaway started perfectly when we spoke to our host John for check in details, he was so welcoming and friendly and even called us once we’d arrived to ensure we were happy with everything. The Musterers Cottage is fabulous - it has everything you need, from cooking appliance's/crockery etc to a TV, relaxing chair and footstool and a great little bathroom. The cottage is cute and cosy, perfect for a couples getaway. I have to say the queen bed is one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in of many hotels I’ve stayed in worldwide over the years. The location is absolutely stunning. The Mountains are majestic and seen through all windows, the vibrant blue lake is across the road, and theres a cafe and bike trekking 5 min from the property. Glendhu Station is fabulous - the Homestead is gorgeous ( you can book to stay in/ for weddings) the gardens are amazing, and the Wool Shed is fab. If you’re getting married and love the serenity of the countryside with stunning views as a backdrop you definitely cant go past Glendhu Station for your wedding. It’s so relaxing and peaceful, you feel your stress levels decrease within 5 mins, its the perfect reset for busy lives. We sat on the deck with our cheese platter and drinks for quite a few hours, it was pure magic! Wifi was perfect, no drop out or slow issues at all with internet. Clean, tidy, comfy and everything working in the cottage. On the road out to Treble Cone Ski Field. Glendhu Station is a working farm - the cottage is everything it needs to be and has a wonderful ambience, the feeling of relaxation and being on the land with amazing views, clean fresh air, and sheep ‘baa-ing’ across the road is what staying here is all about - getting away from it all, not staying at a 6 star hotel. Treat yourself to this - you’ll absolutely love it! We live in Queenstown and we’ll definitely be back!

“Lovely location with beautiful views.”

Easy check-in and quiet place for our stay, except for the wedding reception Sat, our night of arrival. The description of the property amenities on the booking site and on our confirmation email however was not accurate, including the photos. There was no wifi on the property, which we did not know until we contacted the owner for the password. We did not have the small bench top oven with 2 hotplates on top as shown. The chairs by the TV were old, worn and very uncomfortable. Given the price, we were expecting more attention to the condition and maintenance. There wasn't even a toilet paper holder, so twisting behind the toilet wasn't so easy! The large potted plants next to the bed and doorway to the bedroom were so large they were hard to avoid when entering & exiting. And the outdoor furniture is not in good condition. No cafe voucher offered despite the 3 nights booked. We also think the price tag relates more to the location then amenities. But with wifi and some upgrades we might consider coming back sometime.

“Location was beautifullllll 5/5 stars!”

Every window had mountain views which we absolutely loved!! The location also offered seclusion, and being 10 minutes out of wanaka also offered a quiet spot at a busy holiday time for locals. We enjoyed the mountain views whilst eating meals on the chairs on the front verandah. Communication with the host required you to be able to text a new zealand number, however was fast and clear. Given the price of the accommodation we probably were expecting a slightly nicer interior and a bit more attention to detail. Bedroom and bathroom were fine, but kitchen/lounge area very basic and more camp-ground like than home kitchen. Also our hand soap, dish washing detergent and shower soap were all left very low such that we ran out. In reality we think much of the price tag relates to location, so just keep that in mind when booking depending on your priorities

“Lovely location, nice and quiet.”

We did have some trouble when we first arrived getting into the accomodation. We followed the instructions but could not contact the owner as requested. It finally got sorted but was somewhat inconvenient. The facilities are basic which was fine but we did encounter feathers on the bed our last night from a very repaired duvet. It was nice gaining tea, coffee, etc. left for our use. Overall a nice location on the station but perhaps a little overpriced for what you get.
