One of the original Wanaka ‘A-frame’ timber ski lodges, this holiday home still retains the character of the original design. Relax around the wood fire and enjoy a board game, or enjoy meals together around the dining table or on the garden table outside. This three-bedroom, one-bathroom home comfortably sleeps up to eight people between the ground floor level, and the central mezzanine bedroom accessed by stairs. Amenities include a TV, kitchen and washing machine, while you're situated down a private driveway with off-street parking. Located a 10-minute walk to the lake's edge at Bremner Bay Beach, or a five-minute drive to central Wanaka with its conveniences and downtown shops, your holiday home is well located to enjoy the best of this famously beautiful region.     “Considering the price, we would have expected a much more upmarket place.”

    It was OK and we enjoyed our stay but the place was rather dated and tired in parts, again considering the very high price. Improvements are needed to justify such a high price, for example a more modern kitchen, neat and tidy surroundings (a better driveway), an outside deck and bbq area, a more modern bathroom. More kitchen equipment, a bigger dining table. We also noted that the house was not insulated and only single glazing. Must be a very cold place in winter. We have rented a number of ...
