“We really enjoyed our stay for the majority, however, the property is 'rustic' and could do with a little updating, for example, the kitchen.”
It's OK but would be a lot more user friendly with a new benchtop and cupboards that closed properly. The bed in the main bedroom downstairs was quite uncomfortable especially for my husband of 6' 3".
The kids loved staying in the mezzanine area, however, as you need to crank the fire to keep warm enough, the upstairs gets super hot when it's bedtime, so they had to run the fans in the middle of winter!
Great location, love the style of the home, being like a cabin in the woods but definitely could do with a bit of updating and small comforts to make the stay more enjoyable.
