At the end of a quiet cul-de-sac just a 20-minute walk from the Mission Estate Winery, this four-bedroom home is a great holiday spot for a relaxing getaway to the sunny Hawke’s Bay. Welcome to Darcy Delight!
Presenting as a modest family home from the outside, it’s a bright and spacious interior that welcomes you when you walk through the door. Furnished with comfort in mind, the entire home is kept at just the right temperature year round thanks to heat pump technology and an easy-to-use pellet fire.
You’ll have no shortage of space to relax when the weather calls for a day indoors. A large living room welcomes you to put your feet up in the recliners with a book and a cuppa, while the bonus media and games room, complete with a pool table, projector, Chromecast, and big screen, is the perfect place to set up for a family movie night!
A generous open-plan kitchen-diner is perfect for preparing delicious meals for everyone to tuck into, either at the dining room table, or out on the covered patio. Glass French doors create that all-important indoor-outdoor flow, making it easy to whip up a few sides and carry them outside, where the BBQ is sizzling away with all the family favourites.
An ideal holiday home for the extended family, or even a couple of families to get together, Darcy Delight has a flat lawn the kids will love. And with the property being down a long driveway, you can feel comfortable that the little ones are well away from the road.
Darcy Delight sleeps up to eight guests across four bedrooms, and the range of bedding configurations is yet another big selling point for a versatile group stay. The master, with a luxurious king size bed, enjoys its own private ensuite, while a generous family bathroom, complete with a corner tub, provides further conveniences for your stay.
Here at Darcy Delight, two of the Hawkes Bay’s most famous wineries are within an easy walk. Church Road winery can be reached in 10 minutes, while Mission Estate is just a 20-minute walk away. For a slightly more challenging walk, head up to Sugar Loaf Hill for some beautiful views of Napier and the surrounding landscape.
For shops, eateries, and conveniences, drive to Taradale or Greenmeadows in 5 minutes, or enjoy all that and more in the Napier city centre, just a 10-minute drive from home.
For a charming base in a quiet and convenient location, Darcy Delight awaits!

Wonderful family home to kick you feet up and spend a weekend relaxing. Shame the spa pool has been decommissioned that would have top the weekend off.

Spacious but tired large family home. Good for teenagers but could do with a very good spring clean and some basic maintenance to bring out the best in the property. Needs a bit more work on the house and on presentation to ensure guests feel they are getting value for money.
Thank you for your feedback Claire. We are working with the local team and owner on any improvements required at the property. We do hope you enjoyed your time in Taradale.
