Great location and loved being able to see and hear the sea. This is a typical Lockwood home and it does creak but it will be fine if you are used to that. House is tidy, warm and comfortable. The shower is a major downfall, this really needs some investment. I did get the shampoo out but it took a bit. Also need a rail on the stairs coming down the front deck and replace the broken paver at the bottom which is a tripping hazard.

The house definitely needs a good clean outside and decks The creaking is something we have had before in our own property but visitors should definitely be warned that this occurs It would lovely if a sun umbrella was provided for the sunny deck

Nice little view of the sea from the deck. Overall, a comfortable stay with all the amenities we needed. The oven and stove cooked like a dream, and the BBQ worked well too. Large fridge that could fit all our food for 5 days! Comfortable beds and clean rooms. Wifi worked well and was fast. Only drawback for us was the shower is very low pressure and difficult to manage the warmth of the water. And the creaks and cracks of the Lockwood literally woke us up at night, we have stayed in Lockwoods before so were expecting some creaking noises but this was very loud! Other than that, we loved our stay and would stay again.

Helen Louisa “This is an absolute gem of a Bach.”
It is in a fabulous location - easy walk to the shops and beach. The place has great indoor outdoor flow with a large deck with views of the native bush across the road and the sea. Great for drinks/ cards on the deck with the family. The beds were comfy, yes the house is a Lockwood so it does creak but it is the perfect classic Bach, is great value and we have already booked again. Highly recommend this gem!

It is an old Lockwood home that with change in temperature makes these HUGE banging noises throughout the day and especially during the night, all night, when it cools down. I had next to no sleep the entire time we stayed there (had booked a week!) To be fair Bachcare actually tried to find us another place to stay (this is NOT the first complaint about this property!) but I had already paid a fortune and the only ones available were even more expensive. The shower is an absolute dribble which you can't even wash your hair in (my son and I ended up using the cold shower outside) and if you're after an umbrella to enjoy the table outside in the sun, forget it there isn't one (false advertising) and apparently they won't be getting a new one. If the owners accept that the property needs maintenance then it would be worth it as is in a good location but this summer the lack of sleep took it's toll on us after I'd been looking forward to it for a year (as was the only holiday my son and I had) and I got very sick when returned home. It's so unfair that people think it's ok to rent out properties like this.

Unfortunately, as the property is an older style Lockwood home, they are known to creek and make noise in the night due to the drop in temperature. Jessica “The location of this bach is excellent, there is a sea view from the deck and you can easily walk to the Pour house restaurant, ice cream shop and beach in five minutes.”
The beds are comfy and the rooms are a good size. There is wifi and the section is a good size with plenty of parking. We have already re-booked for later in the year. My only feedback is that the bach could benefit from some maintenance to the deck and a bit of spring cleaning.

So nice to hear all the birdsong in the bush around the place. The place could do with a bit of a spring clean and one of the plug sockets in the bedroom didn't work.

Jenny “This has already been provided via email, very very loud sounds occurring intermittently throughout the night and we were all unable to sleep.”
It was so bad some of us had to sleep in the car. We only stayed 1 out of the 2 nights due to this issue.
