The property
Perched on Paku Hill with sweeping sea views, a cool ocean breeze, and surrounding native bush and birdsong, this is a tranquil escape like no other. Welcome to Purepure! Boasting an abundance of picture windows that display the view like fine art, and furnishings thoughtfully selected for style and comfort, this is the kind of holiday home you dream about walking into and switching off from every day life. The open-plan living and dining area seamlessly flows out onto the wrap around deck, where glass balustrades ensure nothing obstructs the perfect backdrop to your morning coffee or afternoon wine and cheese. A modern, fully equipped kitchen comes complete with a butler's pantry and a large double door fridge-freezer, with a chilled filtered water dispenser and ice maker. Cooking and baking will be a breeze with electric hand and stick mixers, an induction cooktop, and both a large conventional oven and a steam oven. Clean up is all taken care of with the double drawer Fisher & Paykel dishwasher. Come evening at Purepure, enjoy relaxing together watching your favourite shows on the Smart TV with Freeview, staging a family board game challenge, or listening to your favourite music on the indoor sound system with WiFi enabled amplifier. You'll love the cosy warmth and winter ambience the wood-burning fireplace brings, and the complimentary WiFi for posting pictures of that incredible view. Three bedrooms comfortably sleep up to seven guests at this Tairua accommodation. The master suite features a walk-in-robe and ensuite, complete with large shower/steam room. Built in wardrobes in the other two rooms, a family bathroom, an additional powder room, and a full laundry complete the setup for your stay. There's enough space to park a small boat here at The Coastal Outlook, so why not bring it along and launch for a day out on the water from the Tairua Marina boat ramp, just four minutes away. Or, if you prefer to spend your days in the water, Tairua Beach is also only a four-minute walk away via a pathway down the hill. The Tairua Golf and Country Club is perfectly suited for guests keen to work on their swing. Drive seven minutes and enjoy a round or two, and later retreat to the Manaia Café and Bar. If you need to stock up on supplies or are craving an ice cream after a day of adventure, drive six minutes to the town centre to discover a variety of shops, eateries, and conveniences. For views to take your breath away on your next Coromandel escape, look no further than Purepure!
Access to this house from its parking area is via a gravel stepped pathway. This may make accessing this property difficult for those with limited mobility.
Guests should bring their own Nespresso compatible pods to make use of the available machine. These can also be purchased from the local supermarket.
Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.
About the location
A short drive from bustling Pauanui, Whangamata, and Whitianga, Tairua is the perfect spot for exploring the east coast and its offshore islands. Stunning views out to the Alderman, Slipper and Shoe Islands, and climbing up Mount Paku you'll be welcomed by views back to The Pinnacles in Coromandel Forest Park. Make sure to set-aside a few hours to explore the township itself, including taking time out for a kayak or windsurf in the harbour. All of our Tairua holiday homes are pre-inspected prior to your arrival and are ready for instant online booking.

Steve “We had a lovely stay overall and the property is beautiful, with a fantastic location and great views.”
It’s clearly a special place and we really appreciated the opportunity to stay there. That said, there were a few maintenance and functionality issues that did impact our enjoyment, particularly given the premium price point of approximately $700 per night. We feel these are things that would reasonably be expected to be working or available at this level of accommodation: 1) The ensuite sink would not drain properly 2) One of the dish drawers was not working 3) The second awning ...
It’s clearly a special place and we really appreciated the opportunity to stay there. That said, there were a few maintenance and functionality issues that did impact our enjoyment, particularly given the premium price point of approximately $700 per night. We feel these are things that would reasonably be expected to be working or available at this level of accommodation: 1) The ensuite sink would not drain properly 2) One of the dish drawers was not working 3) The second awning shown/described was not present, which meant we couldn’t comfortably use half of the deck during sunny periods and had to sit further back from the view We were unable to connect to the sound system despite carefully following the instructions multiple times. None of these issues individually ruined our stay, but collectively they did affect the experience and value for money. Given this, we would appreciate consideration of either a partial refund (we feel something in the vicinity of $400 would be reasonable) or alternatively a complimentary night’s stay in the future. We think this would be a fair outcome given the nightly rate and the number of issues encountered. We do want to emphasise that the property itself is lovely and with these items addressed it would be an exceptional place to stay. Also to note, the balustrade up the stairs is also loose.
