Pet Friendly Inside Welcome
A quintessential kiwi bach, finalist in the Bach of the Year awards 2020 and located just five minutes from the estuary at the bottom of the street - welcome to Pam's Place!
The total nightly rate is for up to 8 people - making this a budget-friendly getaway.
Fuss-free, homely charm and well-equipped with holiday essentials, what more could you and your family need? Pam's Place oozes nostalgia for those traditional coastal holidays and has been delighting guests visiting Foxton for years.
In summer, push open the ranch slider in the bedroom and lounge to let the breeze in. The large flat lawn is ideal for lounging out under the sun or for some backyard cricket. At the end of the day, wander out onto the sheltered part of the sundeck to get the BBQ going and then dine alfresco with the family, making the most of the long summer evenings.
Setup with ample bedding options, you'll be able to fit the whole family here at Pam's Place. Unwind with everyone, including your four-legged family members, taking time to explore some of the best dog-friendly walks Foxton Beach can offer!
This bach is ideal for anyone looking to switch off, get back to basics, and enjoy some downtime without a screen. Although there is no WiFi or TV, there is a good selection of books and board games, so in winter, light a fire in the wood-burning fireplace and settle in.
The local boat ramp on the estuary is just one street over, so if you're bringing your boat, you'll have plenty of room to park it, as well as stellar access to the water.
If you don't feel like cooking and the family's in the mood for some iconic Kiwi fish'n'chips, the local Mr Grumpy's Takeaways is within a 12-minute walk, as is The Little White Rabbit, a great cafe/restaurant if you need a flat white to start the day. If you need some supplies or an ice-cream on a warm summer afternoon, the local Four Square is just an eight-minute walk away.
Foxton Beach itself is just a five-minute drive away and offers a great day out with good surf, so don't forget to pack the sunscreen and the boogie boards! In the centre, Foxton Beach also has a large reserve, playground, skatepark and other sports courts to enjoy.
Pam's Place has an outdoor shower for you to quickly freshen up after a tiring, adventure filled day!

A back to basics and no frill bach, which was well kitted out with everything we needed. The kids activity trolley with pens, paper etc is a nice touch,

A bit expensive for what it is (simple/rustic bach). But lovely location and pretty clean and tidy. A few minor issues (no lock on veranda door, dirty bbq) but overall a nice place to stay. Lovely to be able to bring the dog. Not great if you value privacy as there is only one bedroom which has a door. Great place to get away from regular life as there's no TV/WIFI which makes it great for unwinding and connecting with the people you're there with.
Great that you enjoyed your stay and were able to completely unwind during your recent stay at this well-located bach - thank you for your feedback!

Has the rustic feel and look of the original kiwi Bach and some lovely touches to fit the style. Unfortunately it was very dirty, the property had not been cleaned properly at all. The BBQ was rusted and dirty with no gas left in the bottle. Also there were lots of hazards around the property for young children such as nails poking out of woodwork.
We are pleased that you enjoyed this quant kiwi bach and appreciate your feedback. Our sincere apologies that the property was not cleaned to our usual high standard and this has been addressed.

The house has everything you need I regards to kitchen utensils, beds are comfortable but the house is filthy and very dated. The cupboards in the kitchen we’re full of rat and mice droppings, shower full of sand, dust and cobwebs everywhere, food and crumbs all through the sofas. It’s like no one has cleaned the house in years. We definitely left it much nicer than when we arrived.
Thank you for your feedback! It was so great to hear that you found the house well equipped and the bedding comfortable. We appreciate your cleaning feedback and please be reassured that we have addressed this. Hoping to welcome you back soon!
