Linen

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

Once a motel unit, this one-bedroom plus studio property has been lovingly converted into an ideal holiday home for a family escape to the lake. The open-plan living space is filled with natural light thanks to near floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that offer seamless indoor-outdoor flow to the north facing deck. A well-equipped kitchen here ensures you can prepare tasty meals to fuel the family for your adventures, and a TV with Freeview is on hand for your entertainment when you’re not out exploring. Fire up the BBQ on the shared alfresco dining patio and raise a glass to being on holiday. The kids will love playing on the playground within the complex, and you may even find some friends among fellow holiday makers! When it comes time to venture out, lace up your shoes and check out the bush walk right behind the property. Or why not take the boat down to the new Motuoapa Marina and launch for a day on the lake! Your morning coffee fix is waiting for you just across the road at Licorice Café, or you can pop into Turangi in just eight minutes to pick up everything you might need, and a bite to eat out. This is a fabulous and fuss-free holiday option only 40 minutes from the ski-fields, 15 minutes from the Tokaanu Thermal Pools, and only a short drive from the world-renowned fly-fishing at the Tongariro and Tauranga-Taupo rivers. This property is part of what was once a motel where all units have now been converted to privately owned holiday homes. The lawn, BBQ patio, and children's playground are shared areas, and adjoining units may be occupied during your stay.

There is a trampoline in the children's playground but as there are no safety mats, all guests should take care if using this and only allow one person on the trampoline at a time.

This property is situated adjacent to State Highway 1 in a 60km/h area. Traffic noise is to be expected.

About the location

Motuoapa is a lakeshore settlement located on the southern side of Lake Taupo. The area is great for holidays year-round, whether you're after an adventure or a bit of peace and quiet. Whakapapa ski field is within driving distance, and Taupo's town centre is just over 30 minutes away. Staying here puts you at a good vantage point for days out on the lake, and the panoramic views from the cliff-top walk are breathtaking.
