My daughter, her husband and I brought our little dog with us, understanding that it was possible for pets to stay at the property, as there was no indication on either the website or the booking form that pets were not welcomed. However, on our second day I received an email from Bachcare noting that they had been informed that we had a dog and that it wasnât permitted and we had to find alternative accommodation for her. After several emails to and fro, in which we stated that we wouldnât have chosen this particular property if we had known it was not pet friendly, Bachcare insisted that if it wasnât stated on âadvanced filtersâ on the website that the property was pet friendly, you had to assume that it wasnât! We asked for a refund for the remaining days so we could find alternative pet friendly accommodation but were told it wasnât their policy to offer refunds. The whole experience was very stressful, especially for my pregnant daughter, who had envisaged a last relaxing holiday before her baby is born. So my advice to anyone wanting to bring pets on holiday, first check the âadvanced filtersâ on Bachcare or donât use Bachcare at all. On another note, after all the palaver about pets, we couldnât be bothered mentioning that there were no dish washer tablets, soap or shower gel provided and as mentioned by others, the noise of large trucks passing by all day and night on what is basically SH 1 was noticeable despite double glazing.

Rosemary “Everything was great.”
The kitchen and amenities were well appointed, and the view was amazing. It was very comfortable and relaxing. The only issue we had, which was minor, was the lack of additional bathroom tissue, paper towels in the kitchen and dish soap. Also, the location of the home was right on a main highway, with traffic noise.

Close to the beach and boat ramp and wonderful views, We were apprehensive about the main road but the double glazing negated all the truck noise at night and it was not an issue

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. Weâll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

On a summer getaway, open the sliding glass doors onto the expansive deck and enjoy your favourite holiday drink as the BBQ sizzles away in the background. Gather together for a summer feast at the outdoor table under the shade of the umbrella, as the kids play on the fully fenced lawn. Come winter, kick off your mornings with a piping hot coffee from the Nespresso machine whilst soaking in the stunning views of the lake. Or in the evenings, light the gas fireplace and make Waitetoko Waterfront your cosy home away from home, alternatively you can set the perfect temperature at the touch of a button with the heat pump. Prepare delicious feasts in the fully equipped kitchen, then snuggle up on the couch for a movie on the Smart TV, or make use of the Wi-Fi to satisfy those tech cravings.
