Yes Outside Only
Do you dream of retreating to a natural reserve where you can bask in the sun and get lost in breathtaking lake views? Well, this might just be it. Welcome to Paradise Found, a holiday home with everything you need, backing onto the Wharewaka recreation reserve and steps away from the lake.
Park up the car and the boat in the driveway and turn the key on this fabulous Wharewaka holiday home. Furnished for style and comfort, this Lockwood home is drenched in sunlight right up to its dramatic vaulted ceiling thanks to an abundance of sliding glass doors and picture windows.
Relax and unwind in the open-plan living space as you gaze out across the reserve to the stunning waters of Lake Taupo. In summer, open the doors and create seamless indoor-outdoor flow onto the balcony where a BBQ and alfresco dining setting awaits to host meals enjoyed long into the warm evening.
Come winter, a fireplace keeps you cosy and warm as you get lost in the pages of a good book and that fresh cuppa you just made in the coffee plunger. Or, get the family together and snuggle up for a movie night - simply use the complimentary WIFI to log in to your Netflix account on the Smart TV.
A well-equipped galley style kitchen offers everything you need to prepare delicious holiday meals, and with plenty of storage there’s room to bring all your favourites with you. Sit down and enjoy your breakfast at the table as you plan your day’s adventures.
The master bedroom here at Paradise Found features floor to ceiling sliding glass doors that open out to the balcony. Enjoy your morning coffee as you breathe in the cool morning air fresh off the lake. The second bedroom features two singles that can be connected to make a super king, offering bespoke configurations for your stay.
Just steps from the lakefront, you may not want to leave this exquisite spot. The reserve between the house and the lake has a playground for the kids to enjoy, while the walk and cycleway just outside will lead you into town. You can even roll the provided kayak down to the water and go for an early morning paddle.
When it’s time to grab some supplies, or perhaps a bite to eat at one of the many cafes and restaurants, you can reach Taupo Central in just 10-minutes by car.

The view of the house is amazing. There is also a playground close by. Perfect for a family with kids. The rooms are not spacious but fair enough for their price.

This is an older Lockwood house, it’s in a beautiful location with a reserve in front and with all the amenities one needs, very clean and with modern furniture, comfy beds, lovely really, however it’s so noisy with the creaking of the wood panels and there are two large trees on the property and l had possums on the roof every night making so much noise they woke me many times!
Thank you for your review Sandy. It’s great to hear you enjoyed the location and amenities at Paradise Found. We have set some traps for the possums, however are happy to report that since your stay we haven’t had any further issues with them.
