Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

With five bedrooms, three bathrooms and lake views you'll struggle to take your eyes off, Pokaka Lake House is just the ticket for a fabulous family holiday to Wharewaka! Enjoying a brilliant lakeside position within a 5 to 10-minute drive of the town centre, this spacious and family-friendly home is an ideal lake base with views overlooking Secombe Park and the Three Mile Bay boat ramp! Spread across two storeys, Pokaka Lake House includes generous open-plan living downstairs, with a fireplace for winter stays. Perfect for summer stays, Pokaka Lake House also enjoys seamless indoor-outdoor flow onto the deck, where you can fire up the BBQ and unwind, all while admiring the expansive lake vistas! Downstairs, this Wharewaka holiday home features two bedrooms, including a master suite with king size bed, ensuite bathroom and direct deck access. Upstairs you'll find a king bedroom and ensuite plus a loft that is fitted with a sofa bed. The twin room opens onto a private backyard deck. The main bathroom, also located downstairs, has a toilet bath and shower. There is also a sleepout here at Pokaka Lake House, accessed internally via the garage, that includes two sets of bunks and a separate toilet. This is an excellent home away from home, with a spacious and comfortable group set-up plus fantastic views and location. Pokaka Lake House waits to host your stay!

There is a maximum of eight (8) adults allowed per booking at this property.

Adults should closely supervise young children when in the bedroom on the second level as the bi-fold windows can be opened widely and the barrier is below one metre (as shown in the photos).

Please note that the back garden is fully enclosed and safe for small children to play.

About the location

Just an 8 minute drive around the lake from Taupo Central, Wharewaka is a great base for a relaxing or adventure-packed holiday. It's out of the hustle and bustle of the centre, but still close to many of the bucket-list activities Taupo has to offer such as going out on the lake, visiting Huka Falls or even making the trek along the Tongariro Crossing.
