Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Inside, the open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area welcomes you with warmth and simplicity. Sliding doors open onto the wraparound deck, inviting the outdoors in and offering elevated, sun-drenched views across native bush and glimpses of the bay beyond. For cooler nights, a log burner keeps the space cosy and inviting. After a day on the water, unwind in one of three well-appointed bedrooms — one with a double bed and two with twin singles — offering peaceful rest surrounded by native birdsong. Accessible via sealed road and with ample parking, this retreat includes a mooring as well as ROW access to the beach and jetty, making it easy to launch the boat, kayak, or paddleboard. Spend your days swimming, fishing, or exploring nearby bush walks and scenic drives, before returning to the calm comfort of your private haven. Just over a 20-minute drive from Havelock, and around 35 minutes from Picton, this peaceful base places you close to the best of Marlborough. About the location

The picturesque town of Picton is the main landing point for ferries crossing the Cook Strait, and a great starting point for exploring the Marlborough Sounds. You'll find a great stretch of shops and cafes along the waterfront and a sheltered harbour with grand views. Activities are endless from this point, with dolphin tours, the Queen Charlotte track, kayaking, swimming and hiking being a few.     “We loved the wildness but found a couple of small things could have made it amazing.”

    The walk way from the back port to the steps up the deck was overgrown and there was a metal rod sticking out which broke the skin on my husbands leg. A quick duster just clearing some of the spider webs would have been great.
