Tucked away in a peaceful cul-de-sac just 25 metres from the golden sands of Snells Beach, Heron’s Hideaway offers front-row seats to the changing tides and a relaxed coastal escape less than an hour from Auckland CBD. This traditional Kiwi bach offers a charming and relaxed getaway with a small footprint and a few quirky features that add to its character. The ground floor space is warm and inviting, complete with a fireplace and fully equipped kitchen for easy holiday living. Meanwhile, the downstairs area is a hit with teens, kids, or extended family—offering a third bedroom, a second bathroom, and a spacious rumpus room with Smart TV, giving everyone their own space to relax. Outside, versatile outdoor space is the entertainers dream—the pizza oven doubles as a BBQ with rotisserie. Cast iron pans, BBQ utensils and wood are all supplied, so you're ready to cook up a feast. It’s an easy stroll to the beach for a swim or paddle, with a nearby playground for the kids. And just a six-minute drive away, Brick Bay Wines and Sculpture Trail offers the perfect blend of wine, art, and culture. Whether you're unwinding with family or reconnecting with friends, Heron’s Hideaway is your perfect slice of coastal comfort in Snells Beach.

Kerry “Firstly we had a lovely time at this awesome bach right on the beach.”
It was clean and tidy, lots of wood for the pizza oven and views were fabulous. There were a few areas that need a mention. On arrival the hot tub was freezing so was unusable until it heated up many many hours later. It's a bach that can sleep 8 people but only had 2 glasses and a few cups! No coffee plunger or tea pot. A couple of the mattresses were so bad that they needed to be replaced. Downstairs bedroom was damp and ceiling has a large hole above the bed, hopefully no asbestos. Good ...

A couple of the mattresses were so bad that they needed to be replaced. Downstairs bedroom was damp and ceiling has a large hole above the bed, hopefully no asbestos. Good points were location as right on the beach and use of kayaks. Bach needs an upkeep and all crockery needs replacing. Property manager was awesome and helped us with more glasses, heating hottub and providing coffee pot.
Thank you for your feedback and for highlighting the beautiful location and amenities you enjoyed. We’re pleased you had a lovely time overall. We’ve noted your concerns about the spa, glassware, and mattresses. The spa was heating when you arrived early, which delayed its readiness, but we’ll ensure clearer communication in future. The owner is adding more wine glasses and will review the ceiling and mattresses. Crockery is in good condition, though some pieces are mismatched. We’re glad our local manager could assist promptly with extra items and appreciate your comments to help us improve. Bachcare
