    “As you might be aware the TV was not working.”

    I made contact with your company but no one could come and fix the problem. As we had one small child to entertain during the bad weather it became a problem. The firewood was placed outside on the porch where it got wet. It was not undercover. We moved it all after the second day so that it could possibly dry out for the next people. Therefore it was very hard to warm up the house. It stated that there was a coffee machine but I could only find a coffee plunger. We paid $250.00 for linen ...

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

Awatea Chalet is a three-bedroom, two-bathroom, three-level modern ski chalet situated in the heart of Ohakune. This Ohakune holiday home is located one block from the main commercial area of Ohakune, yet has its own alpine setting, complete with mountain stream and views of Mt Ruapehu from the second level! Experience the convenience of walking to the supermarket, video shop, wine store and restaurants. On the main level is the brilliant open-plan living, kitchen and dining area with a lovely wood-burning fireplace to set the ideal ambient atmosphere. There is a bunk room with two singles and two bunk beds on this level, along with one bathroom and the drying room. On the next level are the two queen bedrooms and the second bathroom. There is also another lounge with views of the mountain, accompanied by a large screen TV with a DVD player. Head up the stairs to the attic loft for a secret kids space! Here there is ample space for the kids to have fun with the bean bags and the dedicated games. For those sunny days, open up the lounge doors to a lovely deck and amble down to the stream. There's plenty of space at Awatea for two families or groups! And, the available WiFi is perfect for keeping everyone connected. Out the back of the house, out of view from the street is a lockable caged ideal for a safe place for your pet to hang out or to store any mountain bikes. When it's time to hit the slopes, Turoa is just 20 minutes drive away, and for some apres ski action, the town centre and The Junction are both less than a 5-minute drive from your home away from home. Centrally located and well-appointed, Awatea Chalet has it all!

As there is access to an unfenced stream, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.

The television is not a smart device however has a DVD player and discs for guest use.

It's well worth the four and a half hour drive from Auckland or 90 minutes from Taupo in Winter or Summer!
