Overview

Perfectly positioned on a quiet street between The Junction and Ohakune town sits this gorgeous two-storey holiday home, reminiscent of the elaborate ski lodges of Switzerland. Welcome to Chalet Gryon!

Just 20 minutes from the slopes of the Turoa ski field, this spacious holiday home is the ideal base for a family escape to the snow! The main living area is drenched in sunlight thanks to floor to ceiling windows, and sliding glass doors that open out to an expansive deck, complete with a picnic table and BBQ for those summer getaways.

After a day on the slopes, there’ll be nothing better than lighting the fire, preparing a hearty meal in your fully equipped kitchen, and chatting about who had the best run of the day. Later, cosy up on the couch; the complimentary WIFI and TV with Freeview keeping you entertained.

A bonus living space on the mezzanine floor here at Chalet Gryon is the ideal haven for the younger family members. Enjoying the same warmth from the fireplace as the main living room, the kids will have a ball up here watching TV on the couch, lounging out on the bean bags, or playing a board game or two.

Three bedrooms here at Chalet Gryon comfortably sleep up to eight guests. Two rooms, one with a king size bed and the other a queen, each enjoy access to the deck - the perfect place to enjoy a peaceful morning cuppa. Two full bathrooms, including one with a bathtub, provide ample conveniences for your stay.

Wake up in the morning and tuck into a hearty breakfast as you make a plan for the day ahead. Will you hit the slopes nice and early, or will you head into town to check out what this bustling ski village has to offer?

Here at Chalet Gryon you’re only a 3-minute drive, or 20-minute walk, from the shops, eateries, and conveniences of Ohakune town centre. At the end of a day on the mountain, why not treat yourself to a meal out at the famous Powderkeg Restaurant and Bar, only two minutes drive away.

If a family escape to the snow is calling, Chalet Gryon might just be your answer!

We had a great stay at this property. It was very spacious and clean. The fire kept us very warm and created a cozy environment to be in. Would recommend this property to any family or group to stay at!

What a great space to stay, almost everything we needed.

House very light and spacious and warm. Unfortunately we weren't able to use the deck due to the weather but it looked inviting. The master bedroom with ensuite is separated form the other 2 bedrooms and bathroom by the living area which provides more privacy and the mezzanine upstairs was a good place to watch the TV - and had a desk.
