“This was a beautiful home with all the facilities, very central.”
We didn’t realise until reading the book that we also had use of their bikes, we did take our own but nice to know.. My family had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend Rolki House.

Absolutely perfect! Close to the hot springs and town, beautifully presented with everything you possibly need. Definitely recommend, and will be staying again.

You can tell the property owner’s good will from every detail that they’d like their guests to have the most comfortable enjoyment as much as possible—- things such as the extra fridge, the bar table and stools in the garage for the convenience of the guests who play table tennis and darts, the board games for kids on the shelves, Nexflix on the TV, the kitchen ware, tableware, cooking facility, etc are all state-of-the-art. We also very much enjoyed various glasses/mugs/cups for different occasions, which all reflected the owner’s thoughtfulness and hospitality. The one little drawback we experienced has actually nothing to do with the owner or the property itself—some of bunk duvet covers still smelled of the previous guests. We understand it could be a pain to thoroughly change the bedding for the bunk beds. However, it is for the best interest of the kind owner to know our experience in this regard. After all, people who stay there do get charged for a better and more hygienic cleaning so the next guests can enjoy their stay. We consent the hygienic concern aspect of our feedback can be PMed to the owner and be left out before the rest of our feedback is published. Thank you.

Warmed up well after a cool start due to general temperatures in Winter . Good design and table tennis was an added bonus . Very well presented…great kitchen facilities! ( but needed to have some cleaning/dish cloths and more dishwashing powder tho, thanks ..) Our only advice would be, due to the possibility of a Power Outages (We had 2 over 2 days ) it would have been good to have a torch & candles available; as it’s location, in these beautiful mountains, must happen more regularly than other places - and no lighting almost became a safety issue … That said - we had great family vacation

It was my mother in laws 70th birthday & the house were perfect for us all 10 to stay comfortably. Kids downstairs and adults upstairs. Great entertainment in the garage with table tennis and dart. Big thank you for renting this place to us! We will be back! Sofia Sloss

Property Manager rushed a small 9Kg cylinder to us that provided hot water over night. This along with the heat pump failure on the lower level resulting in a very cold 12 max degree overnight for the children. Whilst this was corrected for the 2nd night our Australian visitors whilst getting the snow they wanted, they were left disappointed and cold. What a pity.

kylee “Great place to stay - hop, skip and a jump to everything on offer in central Hanmer including pools.”
Heaps of room, modern, great aesthetics, spacious and very clean. Just a couple of very minor things (1) the rooms downstairs are cold - we couldn't seem to get the heat pump working efficiently and (2) the book advised we were required to take rubbish with us, taking it to the refuse transfer station - but when we got there is was closed / locked up. We drove our general waste back to Christchurch ... is there no possibility for kerbside collection?

We're sorry to hear about the confusion with the rubbish - guests are not required to take their rubbish away. There are rubbish bags provided, which will get collected by our team after guests have checked out. Regarding the heater downstairs, we recommend closing the bathroom and toilet door and the internal door to the garage, allowing the heat pump to work as efficiently as possible and flow hot air into the bedrooms. Just 600m from the famous Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools, this modern family-friendly four-bedroom Hanmer Springs holiday home is on a quiet cul-de-sac, and prefect for an idyllic holiday or mini break away. Welcome to Rolki House! This property is perfectly set up for one to two families and has strict policies around large gatherings. There are to be no hen, stag or other parties here. Cosy open-plan living on the first floor of Rolki House invites you to drop your bags and settle in for the perfect Hanmer Springs getaway. An abundance of windows allows natural light to flood in, while the sliding glass doors provide that all-important indoor-outdoor flow onto the patio. A gas fireplace and heat pump technology are available to ensure you can set just the right temperature, while a Smart TV with Sky Sport, and Netflix capability, complimentary WIFI, a table tennis table, and even a dart board are there to keep you entertained when you’re not out exploring this fantastic slice of Kiwi paradise. A well-equipped kitchen offers everything you need to self-cater your stay, while the butler’s pantry with additional fridge-freezer provides ample storage for all your favourite drinks and snacks!
