“The property is amazing?”

Just as we had thought it would be. It had everything we needed for our stay and more. The bed was very comfortable, the home was spacious, relaxing, and with an amazing view from the patio's to Cathedral Bay. If we are ever back this way again this is where we would like to come home to. Suggestion: A dust pan/brush would be a nice addition to the storage cupboard. Also a tag saying 'fridge' would be handy on the power switch in the kitchen (as has been done for the stove/oven etc).

“Television did not work at all for entire stay.”

This was reported to Bachcare on day 1 and 2 via email and phone with no response. BBQ and oven were not clean. Gas bottle needed to be swapped over. Mattresses in 2nd and 3rd bedroom were very uncomfortable. Plastic mattress protector awful to sleep on and mattresses very hard. 2nd bedroom window looks directly into neighbours bedroom. No fly screens on bedroom windows so plenty of mozzies through the night. Location is not walkable from town or the beach, however, lovely view from the big back deck and comfortable outdoor furniture to enjoy the beautiful view. Good kitchen and modern, comfortable house other than the mattresses.

Hi Alison , Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately, the TV did not work due to the previous storm that blew the fuse, that we were unaware of. We can confirm that this has been rectified and TV is working fine . Our local team has confirmed that the gas bottles for BBQ will be topped up for all stays and there is always a spare one in the garage. Also ,can confirm that the mattresses are brand new , insect repellent and fans available in all rooms. We do apologise for the issues you faced but can confirm that all of this have been rectified Bachcare

“The property itself was beautiful and spacious!”

It was well stocked and the views incredible! The 2nd bedroom with the queen bed wasn’t the most comfortable and very hot and the absence of wifi for $700 a night was a disappointment. Also, there was only one roll of toilet paper supplied for each bathroom (for a 6 night stay for 5 people) and one rubbish bag (no additional rubbish bags provided). This is not adequate. When I called Bachcare for ask for more supplies they said we had to purchase our own. I don’t think we should have to purchase necessities for our stay when the adequate amount wasn’t provided initially. Again, we’re paying about $700 a night and don’t even have enough toilet roll? I called bachcare multiple times to follow up about their response and never received a call back or response. This is feedback specifically for bachcare and not the property itself.

“The bach had immaculate views!”

Wish there was a spa on the deck. Pillows needs to be replaced tho, it was very uncomfortable. But overall, it was tidy and clean

“The property is perfect for a family or group of friends.”

It has everything you need, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms, comfortable beds, a room to the side of the living room which can double up as a playroom, a garage with a pool table and table tennis. Not to mention the amazing deck with even more amazing views! The house is also very tastefully decorated which adds to the charm. The location is great, only a 10 minute drive to the centre of Whitianga with restaurants, supermarkets, shops and a movie theatre. The only thing why I would rate it 9/10 is that cleaning could be improved (kitchen drawers, under the sink, windows). All in all, we would definitively come back to stay and highly recommended.
