“This is a great bach with stunning views.”
You can tell the owner has recently put a lot of effort into it because the place was clean and well set up. It had everything we needed. You can tell the owner has recently put a lot of effort into it because the place was clean and well set up. It had everything we needed. While it’s not huge inside, the large outdoor area makes up for it – there’s a big dining table and plenty of comfy seating outside. Inside, the living area feels cozy and modern, with all the essentials like Wi-Fi, Chromecast, and even a great coffee machine. The two double bedrooms were an average size, but the room with the 2 single beds (one a trundler) was a squeeze with both beds up. The location is amazing – just a few minutes’ walk to a fantastic swimming beach. We’d love to stay here again!

Amol “Grand view to sit on the deck and enjoy life.”
Place is bit small in terms of bed rooms and bath room, toilet however that gets compensated by view. remember nearestest food is Lukes kitchen which is about 5-6kms away however if you want to relax and enjoy leisure life from hustle and bustle then Opito bay is the place.

We gave it three stars, because the location is excellent, being elevated and just across the road from the beautiful beach; so the views and the beach save it.....just about. Because the whole place is run-down, full of cobwebs, and held together by duct-tape and goodwill. Don't believe the accuracy of the pictures you see online, because they were clearly taken a while back. For example the well laid out table that you see in the first picture now has only two of the rickety wooden chairs there, plus a dirty white plastic friend. The other single-seater cushioned outside chairs in the pictures aren't there, and the umbrella shade won't lock in place so we had to use bungy-cord down the inside of it to stop it flipping vertical in any breeze. The ranch slider was locked by putting a piece of wood down in the floor runner, one of the lounge windows dislocated and pretty much fell out whenever you opened it, and the sliding door to the single bedroom was held on by one rusty runner and fell off if you tried to close it fully. And I agree with a previous reviewer who wrote that the washing made your clothes smell worse than when they went in. Overall, the bach is in a great spot and the location is amazing in general. But you pay a lot of money to be there, and there are things you expect to be non-negotiables....one of those being that it is clean and the facilities described are present and working. We made the mistake of not reading the reviews before we booked.

Charlotte “We stayed here last year and made a complaint about the cleanliness of the property.”
Sadly nothing improved and we won’t be staying again. It was filthy. Had to clean all the china and cutlery. There’s still a plate under the couch that was there last year. The washing machine would have made our clothes dirtier than they went in. Very disappointing. Such an amazing spot with fabulous views but it really needs a decent cleaner.

The Bach has stunning views from a lovely big fenced deck with plenty of space to lounge around with shade. There’s a brand new bbq, 2 fridges and a good working stove which made cooking our Christmas food easy. Thanks so much, we hope to be back again next year.

The photos do make it look larger than it is, the bathroom is very small but does everything you need it to. Unfortunately, as other reviewers have noted there are cleanliness issues, it also needs pest control (cockroaches, mice, spiders and ants) and ensuring supplies of basic provisions such as salt and pepper are maintained. If these easily resolved issues are sorted out the property would be a wonderful place to stay but right now it’s not good value for money.

There was no file on the house with info or things to do - we called Bachcare twice for info but no response. Mosquitoes were another level - a warning about these rather than the splattered stains on walls and ceilings on arrival would have been a great help, maybe machines rather than the one empty insect repellent can. We had a great holiday though as the property and beaches are great - the house just needs some care.

As there is no dishwasher at the property we expected detergent to be provided. It was not which made the three days difficult hygiene wise. The BBQ was unusable which was not okay.
