“Te Punga lodge is situated in a fantastic location and truly lives up to expectations.”

The property is spacious, private with incredible views. It is equipped with everything you could need, plus many additional features. Our group consisted of young adults and parents, and there was ample space (and toys) for everyone. From the stunning pool and hot tub to the outdoor fireplace, the large family-friendly dining areas, and super relaxing lounge spaces. The property is spacious, private with incredible views. It is equipped with everything you could need, plus many additional features. Our group consisted of young adults and parents, and there was ample space (and toys) for everyone. From the stunning pool and hot tub to the outdoor fireplace, the large family-friendly dining areas, and super relaxing lounge spaces. We enjoyed hanging out in the pool table room, swimming, using the bikes and kayaks, and playing board games. Outside the massive garage there was even an area for playing basketball. The well-equipped kitchen had plenty of tableware and two dishwashers. Other facilities included a super large washing machine in the laundry, and lots of towels. The architecture of the home was just wow with solid concrete walls, adding to its unique charm. The decor was clean, practical, and welcoming, full of character and interesting art. Check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, making our arrival and departure very convenient. We highly recommend this beautiful home for a relaxing getaway, especially suited to larger families or groups. Much gratitude and thanks to the property owners for allowing us to stay at their wonderful Te Punga.

“We felt privileged to be able to stay in such a magnificent property.”

The kitchen was superb and everything was available. The rooms were excellent. We enjoyed the architecture and ambient atmosphere. One suggestion is if you are to be wheelchair/handicap friendly at least toilet/ bathroom should have grab rails. Other than that our family stay was wonderful. Thank you.

I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding our recent stay at your property, as we believe it's important to communicate our experience. While we appreciated certain aspects of our visit, we encountered a few significant issues that were quite disappointing, especially given the nightly rate we paid. 1. Pool Heating: The property description indicated that the pool would be heated, but unfortunately, this was not the case during our stay. We were particularly looking forward to enjoying the pool, and this omission was disappointing. It is important for us to mention that the primary reason we chose your property was for the heated pool. 2. BBQ Condition: The BBQ provided was old and in need of cleaning, which made it challenging for us to use. A well-maintained and clean BBQ would greatly enhance the outdoor cooking experience for guests. 3. Beverage Supplies: We also found that there was not enough coffee or tea provided for everyone in our group. Adequate supplies are essential for a comfortable stay, especially when sharing with multiple guests. 4. Air Conditioning: Given the size of the house, we were surprised to find that there was no air conditioning. This made our stay uncomfortable during the warmer parts of the day, and we believe it is necessary for a house of this size. 5. Outdoor Furniture: The outdoor furniture was old and in poor condition, with most pieces already broken. Updating or repairing these items could significantly enhance outdoor relaxation for guests. 6. Microwave and Coffee Machine Issues: The microwave was not heating properly, and the coffee machine had ongoing issues that needed attention. These appliances are essential for a comfortable stay, and having them in good working order is important. Considering the cost of the accommodation, we expected a higher standard and were left feeling let down by these aspects of our experience. We hope you can address these issues to create a better experience for your future guests. Despite these issues, we truly enjoyed our stay overall. We found the house to be clean, with a beautiful indoor space and well-maintained outdoor areas. It was the perfect location and the house was the perfect size for our group. The views were stunning, and the quiet atmosphere provided a much-needed escape. Thank you for taking the time to read our feedback. The pool is heated with a heat pump I’m having it checked by service. As it is outdoor we aim for 22 degrees in summer. The bbq coffee machine and microwave all work perfectly. The bbq is stainless steel and all internals were replaced last year. We are an Airbnb and it is up to you to supply your own food beverages etc. as explained in the meet and greet we provide enough to get you started and there is a well supplied store 500 metres away. Likewise we don’t present the house as air conditioned although it is fully geared in winter. We may consider in future but it’s only real hot there a few days a year and most sleep with the doors open then. Outdoor lounger we agree are sub par as previous guests were rough with them and we are replacing them. Thanks for pointing this out. Bachcare

“Wonderful location and facilities.”

Large and amazing for our large group. Wish the beds were firmer and less undulating and that there are air conditioning in the bedrooms. It can get oppressively hot in a humid day. Cannot always open the windows, as insects will fly in. Otherwise, great!
