Bachcare provided a great service for this Bach. Original Bach with comfortable beds, however Bach has not been cared for and loved by owners. Our family could not use outside of property for toddler to run around due to many fruit trees that had dropped fruit that was rotting in the yard. Not value for money.
Thank you for your review, we will follow up with the local team to get the dropped fruit cleaned up. How much fruit is on the ground may depend on the season you stay. As you stayed over Easter weekend, this is a high demand weekend and we do our best to align our prices to similar properties in the area.

We stayed at Shoebridge Homestead for a week with our 2 kids aged 12 & 2. We had an excellent stay here! The house is very 50's Kiwiana bach :-) location is excellent, just a short stroll from the shops & right across the road from a beautiful estuary. Beautiful beaches just over the hill & the locals were very friendly. We particularly loved Whale Bay & Whangaumu Bay (which you can walk to from the estuary at low tide). Even got to see stingray one night in the estuary! Our Property Manager was great to deal with. Beds were all very comfy, the couches were comfy aswell. Property also comes with a microwave, however no satellite TV so make sure you bring some DVD's!

This is one of my favourite property’s we have stayed it. It was basically the only property available when we booked for New Years, we were unsure what to expect but were pleasantly surprised. This Bach is bursting with character and super cosy. With books stacked on shelves in the master bedroom, retro furniture and decor throughout the house. Large deck with working bbq and picnic table. Kid friendly with a selection of board games and bunk beds. House was very clean and tidy on arrival. Was expecting shower pressure to be average but it was excellent. Location is great, just a short walk to the local shop, cafe and takeaways and a second away from the estuary,. 10 minute drive to Matapouri, 15 minutes to Sandy Bay. If you are looking for something modern and luxurious this place is not for you, this is a character home with the basics perfect for a quiet getaway or family holiday. We will definitely be returning at some stage.

Really good family trip, love the area especially the view and surrounding areas. We like the property with its antique furnitures and deco. The kids love the board games and the toys. Downsides were cleanliness of the place (inside and outside), limited water usage, no wifi, lack of communication/engagement from the Holiday property manager during our stay. As this was our first family trip away from home it was the experiencce that we take away from it.
Thank you for your valuable feedback Mele. At Bachcare we pride ourselves on our properties being sparkling clean and we're sorry that your experience did not meet our usual high standards on this occasion. We do list that there is no WiFi available at this property and do our best to make this as clear as possible on the listing. We're glad you loved the location and we hope to welcome you back in the future!
