“We really enjoyed our stay here.”
The house was spacious and there were lots of places to ‘be’. The beds were comfy with nice linen, the showers were good (please note: soap is not provided) and the kitchen was well equipped. We loved the views, sitting out on the deck, swimming in the estuary, resting in the lounge and using the kitchen. It’s a good place to take your kayak and your bike and you can use the kayaks provided. There was good parking but guests need to know that the driveway is really steep, so not for nervous drivers! Just a couple of things for the owners to consider. Firstly, three of the four members of our group, while packing the dishwasher, whacked their heads really hard, several times, on the shelving above it. To avoid injury, we suggest putting some kind of padding on the corner (or removing the shelf!). Secondly, the fridge. Each time you need ingredients out of the fridge while cooking (or just getting out milk for a cup of tea), you have to exit the kitchen, open the door, get the stuff, close it and re-enter the kitchen. A small thing, but so inconvenient! Perhaps the opening of the fridge door could be reversed? Also the bottom shelf of the fridge is nearly freezing, resulting in a whole pile of vegetables being ruined in just in one day. Apart from these small things, we highly recommend the house to other guests, and thank the owners. We would definitely come back!
