So quite pricey. It was only a 4 minute walk to the lake. We found the house clean and the linen towels etc were of good quality. It was well equipped in the kitchen and bathrooms. We ran out of toilet paper at the start of the third day. One towel each and one hand towel and one bath mat for the bathroom for the whole time is not enough. There was no washing powder either. Also there is nowhere to hang your towel in either of the bathrooms, unless you take it outside. The bathrooms are ...

Also there is nowhere to hang your towel in either of the bathrooms, unless you take it outside. The bathrooms are not modern, they're from the seventies! The shower cubicles are so small you can't get your head out of the shower. There is a dead tree in the front yard that needs to be taken down, before it falls over. The large dining table was very useful, but the oversized worn out leather couches and chairs take up all the room. And it's hard to get around the oversized coffee table. I don't think I would choose to stay there again

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

About the location
On the opposite side of the lake to Taupo, Kuratau is a small peaceful town with plenty of outdoor activities on offer. Spend the day out on the water with kayaks, boats and water skis, or go fly fishing for rainbow trout in the Tongariro River. Being further away from the bustle of Taupo, it's also an ideal location for a relaxing holiday to get away from it all.
