“Hi The home was great for a group catching up for a weekend in Queenstown, having our own bathrooms was perfect.”

However, using the bathrooms was problematic. The water did not work in some of the bathrooms and when it did the pressure was sub standard. After a day of mountain biking it was very disappointing. One of our party tried to contact to let someone know but there was no response. You really need to find a way to make the bathrooms functional or they are not really an added feature of the property. Thank you

“DO NOT STAY HERE The reviews regarding no hot water or even any water are absolutely true.”

I emailed asking about the water issues and they assured me that the issue would be fixed before we arrived, knowing that I went ahead and paid the final amount. Only to find out that in fact, water not fixed as they did not have the three days necessary to fix because house was fully booked, blanten grab for money from owners. Spa was great although we had an issue here as well, before going rang to discuss cleaning of the spa and was told no maintenance needed to be done! There for 14 days ? Upon arrival there was a note next to spa, to add chemicals, which we could not find so had to purchase more. Instruction manual needs more information regarding all these things. Maintenance needs to be checked regularly as we had several lights out, tv not working, blinds broken, solar lights on outside steps not working, no lights on stairs on top level, cutlery and plates not enough for a 10 person house. Cooking pots and pans old need to be updated. Only one positive is the view, but seriously the money we paid definitely not worth it.

“We had an amazing stay at this beautiful home.”

When we arrived all the heating had been turned on including a very welcome heat pump in the main living room. The house was very warm and well kept. It had the most spectacular views and was so roomy and comfortable. In fact the bed in the bedroom on the first floor was one of the most comfortable I have ever had in any hotel or holiday home. The water pressure in the showers wasn't great, but it was fine and this was a very minor issue. We used all four bathrooms and found it more than adequate. We loved our stay and would recommend this house.

“House and rooms were spacious, lots of bathrooms, amazing views and spa was great.”

No heating apart from plug-in wall heaters (some didn't even work) and the house was freezing during May. Only two bathrooms had hot running water. No soaps, body wash, doors and cupboards were broken. One room is only accessible externally which wasn't indicated on the listing. Very disappointing for the amount of money we paid.

“I've booked this house for 3 nights and I'm pretty much disappointed with the property.”

Rubbish for the amount you pay!!! Things I have an issue with: - Stray cat? Or Pet cat I don't know they are all over. Sitting on the outside dining table - Black Dog at the Spa tub roaming around freely - I'm with 2 girls and they are scared of dogs and cats and they are scared to step out also - none of the bathroom rooms have any shower gel also.. of course water doesnt come :) - not getting hot water even after leaving the water for more than 5 mins in the top bathroom. Skipped shower as well - couldn't open the spa tub at all - heater in top floor bunk bed room doesn't work, red light is on but doesn't get heated at all - electric blanket on beds doesn't work either... Charging lot of $$$$'s for this kind of property first time. Not happy & disappointed...

“Absolutely amazing view and a beautiful and a bit worn house.”

A few things that were not satisfactory, especially for the price we paid. Water pressure is a huge problem for a house that has this many bedrooms/bathrooms. If anyone was doing anything with water there was absolutely no pressure in the top floor showers. Barely a trickle. We had to schedule everyone's use of water - might as well had one bathroom. None of the bathrooms had soap or shampoo - every other VRBO type of place we have stayed had at least some supplies. The plastic caps on the metal banisters are missing leaving sharp edges that drew blood twice by scraping against them. Stairs leading from the main floor to the second floor bedrooms need to be looked at - terrible creaking on every stair.

“We loved our stay in this property - thank you for having us!”

The house was in a great location, and we loved that we were up high to make the most of the gorgeous Queenstown views. We will certainly be back if we return to QT as a bigger group in the future. It was a huge yes from us that each bedroom had its own bathroom, this made our stay really easy! The beds were super comfy and the quality linen was so great! We even wanted to ask what brand of sheets you used on these beds, as we want to get some for home :) The only criticism we had was the water pressure and temperature of the showers was really poor. We tried to shower at separate times but even then the shower experience was not great. If this was improved then the house would be a 10/10.

“The house is well equipped and great views!”

There is no bathroom on the 2nd level like it suggests which was tricky with young children. We had the house manager come through the house without notice (we had emailed Bachcare feedback team with something that had caught our attention) We have the phone records to show that no one rang, but Bachcare can’t produce anything, saying they did ring “multiply” times like they suggest) that made us feel very uneasy especially having Children at the property. This is still is an ongoing issue that Bachcare aren’t answering emails/ calls about which is disappointing. The house was great to stay at, but wouldn’t again as I don’t like the idea of someone just coming through without notice.

However, the parking is shocking because it is so slanted, and the 2 rooms on the third floor are so hot in the summer. Would be nice if the rooms have air-cons. The water pressure changes frequently if there are 2 or more people using the shower or the taps.

“Definitely a bit tired.”

Missing the downstairs tv remote that lets you adjust volume. Middle level tv doesn’t go loud enough and is too old now - can’t use Netflix for example and has funny colouring. Broken outdoor furniture. Kitchen could do with a spring clean, felt a bit gross using some of the glasses etc. Amazing views made up for most of it for us. Definitely need to warn people about the stairs up to the property and steep street in case someone has mobility issues. Great bathrooms.

The only downfall was that the TV in the middle lounge wasn't working but we used the one downstairs instead. Overall one of the best stays I've had in QT and would recommend to all as well as rebook :) Thank you so much

“Firstly I would like to thank the owner for extending the stay to accommodate the Covid affected travellers.”

The house itself is gorgeous and located in a desirable area. The views are incredible. We found the property was bar average for cleanliness. The spa area in general was cause for concern. Spa wasn’t hygienic at all and had a bad smell even after it was brought to the managers attention and cleaned and also it was surrounded by rubbish. The main en-suite bathroom had a strong smell. The beds had some stains on duvets. The oven was terrible and would smoke when turned on. The racks were burnt and dumped outside. The house needs heat pumps other than the heaters provided. The stairs leading up to the house have poor lighting and need maintenance. This is a hazard. And the front door is very difficult to open. We had to use full body weigh to slam into the doors to open. TV in the kitchen area wouldn’t work nor would the surround system. Very outdated technology. I would rate this property as a holiday rental overall a 6.5/10.
