With plenty of parking for both cars and boats, and a secure garden shed to store equipment, The Red Barn is an ideal facility for holiday makers who want a quiet and peaceful place to return to at the end of the day's adventures.

Whether you’re here to enjoy the excellent hiking, biking, fishing and boating, or you’re supporting or participating in a local sporting event, The Red Barn has everything you need. There are even two kayaks and three mountain bikes available for you to use at your leisure!

When it’s time to retreat indoors, a huge open-plan living-dining space invites you to sit back and relax. Pour yourself your favourite holiday drink, and take advantage of the complimentary WIFI to post your latest holiday snaps!

A well-equipped kitchen offers everything you need to self-cater your holiday, and with two fridge-freezers there is plenty of space to store all the favourites you’ve brought from home. Dine at the table big enough for everyone to share a meal together, or fire up the BBQ and dine alfresco on the shaded deck.

The young, and young at heart, in your group will enjoy sunny days on the large grassy section. Stage a backyard footy or cricket match, or simply enjoy the tranquility of having this beautifully kept expanse of land all to yourself.

At the end of the day’s adventures, four bedrooms offer everyone a place to lay their head. The rooms feature a combination of queen and bunk beds, and there is even a port-a-cot available for use. There are also two sofa beds in the living area, should you be looking for a little extra space or privacy in the bedrooms.

Two full bathrooms, and one additional toilet provides ample conveniences for everyone. The wet floor shower in one of the bathrooms provides disability access if required.

The Red Barn is situated just 400m from the beach and 3km from the boat ramp, making it an ideal spot to enjoy fishing and swimming on your holiday. The photos do not do this place justice. Our every need was catered for and I would highly recommend this place. I hope I get the opportunity to stay there again - it was wonderful. Thank you to the owner for accommodating us regarding a dog - which did not stay - we appreciated that, as we were "caught short" but found someone to help out in the end . Ten out of Ten. Thank you so much Linda

What an amazing property! Perfectly clean and well equiped with everything we needed plus more. Lovely home to relax in on wet and cold winter's day. Plenty of space for our 3 families, indoor and out, easy distance to the lake, beach and walks, as well as into Rotorua. We all loved the novelty of being able to watch the deer from the house. An easy 5 stars from us and we hope to be back sometime!

Great holiday for our big family. So close to the lake, kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need. The red barn was extremely clean and tidy on arrival. The grounds were immaculate, we enjoyed spending time playing in the garden during the day and sitting on the deck eating dinner at night. Thank you for providing such an awesome place for our family holiday. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!
