Nice place, except no hot water in sleep out shower rendering the property only having one bathroom

Awesome batch in a serene setting. Very comfortable. We loved our stay and will be back for sure!

Fantastic Bach with easy access to the water and air conditioning to make things comfortable inside. Awesome to be allowed to bring a pet with secure fencing. Don’t expect mobile phone signal (but can get 2 bars within 100m walk) and couldn’t get wifi to work… but not a bad thing on holiday, mind you.

Fabulous place to stay, the location and house are great, but be aware there is an alarm, make sure you get the code!
DARRELLStayed January 2021
Found the property very clean, well appointed and an excellent position on the lake. The only pity is that the algae bloom does affect being able to undertake water sports and swimming, but it is clearly noted on the website and Lake Rotoma is only a matter of minuted away.

The place was exactly as the pictures showed, awesome place to stay!

Pros: the bathroom, kitchen were pleasant and usable, the bedroom we used was very comfortable and clean. Lake Rotoehu is a small but nice, quiet community and the proximity to the lake is great for people interested in fishing and boating. It is also not far from some of the top regional walks in the Bay of Plenty too. Cons: Although public wi-fi is available the service is quite hit-or-miss for mobile phone and TV coverage. The bach windows need a serious clean. The stove, and the back steps also need urgently replacing.
Thank you for your feedback Val. We are happy to report that the oven has been repaired and is in full working order and we have re-checked the back steps. We are glad to hear you enjoyed the location of the house and hope to welcome you back again in the future.

Such a fantastic place to stay, great for family and friends it has great heating with a lovely fire or heat pump to warm you up, nice clean and tidy and such a comfortable stay with lovely beds, the lake has a nice walk or if you have a fishing license you can catch yourself some trout you won’t need to go anywhere!!

This was an amazing stay!

Absolutely amazing place - more than enough sleeping space and wonderfully peaceful.
LeanneStayed February 2020
A lovely peaceful spot with lake views. The house was tastefully decorated and had the addition of a separately contained area which was great for teenagers. About 1/2 an hour drive from Rotorua, so take this into account when planning your stay.

Lovely place, very peaceful
AnnaStayed December 2019
Great location and a great house in lovely condition. There is no table of any sort in the house, so other than a bench with 3 bar stools there is nowhere to eat unless you sit on a couch (no coffee table either). Kitchen needs some more basics.
Thanks for your review Anna. We're happy to hear you enjoyed your time at Kauri Cottage. We've passed on your feedback regarding the tabe (or lack thereof!) to the owner for review. We hope to welcome you back soon!
