    “The house was clean and kitchen well provisioned.”

    Location was great. We booked the property 6 months before our stay and chose this property as it had a yurt, enabling adult children to stay without having to share a room with my friend and I. We were very disappointed to be told 2 weeks before our stay that the yurt wasn’t available. This now meant some of our party could now not come which put quite a dampener on our holiday . A sun umbrella would have been good and the outdoor bath was overgrown and filthy. In addition the bedroom blinds ...

A sun umbrella would have been good and the outdoor bath was overgrown and filthy. In addition the bedroom blinds did not darken the room meaning you were woken at five am by the sun. These issues, particularly the removal of the yurt did not represent good value for money to us when compared with the amenities and rental prices of other properties in the same location.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

Situated in the charming coastal settlement of Tata Beach, you’re just a one-minute walk to the golden shores! Located in the Golden Bay, explore nearby Ligar Bay and Pohara, both a short drive down the road. Meanwhile, Takaka village is just a 15-minute drive away with an array of cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops! A charming stay in a convenient location to Tata Beach awaits – visit Little Nikau!


Children should be constantly supervised while outside as there is beach access at the end of the street.

Please be cautious as there are steps without handrails up to the bedrooms from the lounge.

Please be aware blue penguins are known to nest under the house which can cause some noise.

Although the property is pet friendly, please ensure dogs are supervised to prevent disturbing nearby penguins.
