... I think this property was very over priced for what it is. There were multiple problems that should have been noticed and sorted before listing the property. Cleanliness, (cob webs, fly poop on ceiling, mould on shower door, dust, stickers on mirror) some comforts (laundry powder, basic kitchen supplies, some treats - biscuits, chocolate and some nice toiletries are normal for this price), repairs (loose toilet seat, missing light bulbs, wasp nest in recycling bin, kitchen extractor fan not working, spray for ants and insects, put fresh batteries in smoke detectors, clean carpets, (2 bedrooms smell like pee), paint and repair wall damage, consider replacing the carpet and maintenance (mow lawns, stop owner's mail coming, the shower leaked). Could do with a brush and pan and a drier as it was hard to dry your towels and our clothes during a damp and humid week. Rain came on the deck. Honestly, this was quite a depressing place to stay. On the bright side, I loved how close to the beach it is, the quiet neighbourhood, all the shops and eateries in Papamoa, good fences for dogs, empty farmland behind, the heat pump cooled the whole house, well equipped kitchen. I could imagine this being perfect for guys on a fishing trip. If you are able to publish the following feedback for potential guests, that would be great: This property is basic and functional. The location is awesome and the house is quiet and secluded. It's a short walk to a beautiful piece of (dog friendly ) beach and lots of eateries and shops are nearby. The beds are new and comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. It's all a bit dated but the air con in summer was lovely.
