“We absolutely loved our stay at the Woodside Bay Cottage, and would not hesitate to recommend it to others, and perhaps return ourselves.”

The property and location was great, with a lovely "ambience". (Slightly) disappointing about the nearby house construction, but not really an issue - as we were advised in advance. The views are magnificent, and great bird-life. We were very impressed with the amenities and the amount of supplies (a larger milk carton would have been appreciated though). The Outdoor Bath with Shower attached was absolutely fabulous, and was the deciding factor for us selecting this property, when viewing 20 Bach Care properties on Waiheke Island for our weekend. Disappointments which Bach Care & the owners should be aware of: 1. Our first time ever to Waiheke Island, so it was was quite an undertaking/adventure travelling from Whangarei, catching the vehicle ferry, and finding our way around. Imagine then the anxiety we felt when we finally arrived, and Bach Care had given us the wrong lock box code for the Bach Key. (Of which I had fastidiously checked & re-checked that we had, before embarking on our holiday). We phoned the Bach Care 0800 number, and the issue was resolved when Bach Care gave us the correct lock box code. The relief was immense, but we should not have had that issue. :( 2. A minor issue, was the outdoor furniture needed cleaning. we could not be bothered doing it so used other furniture. 3. Finding a rotten banana at the back of the fridge was off-putting. 4. Although the TV was a "Smart TV", we thought it was quite small. The huge disappointment here was we could not watch the All Blacks vs Ireland Rugby World Cup game. We had assumed, that because of the level of property we were staying at, that it would be a "No-Brainer" that we would be able to watch the rugby. We are both HUGE All Blacks fans, and were "gutted". This will be a factor for us choosing a property in the future. In spite of these issues, we still loved our stay, but would definitely look into the TV sports coverage (If it coincided with anything we wanted to watch) before returning.

Thank you very much for your review. We are glad you enjoyed the location. As stated in the property listing there may be some noise due to nearby construction. Sorry to hear about your experience with the lockbox. We are pleased that Bachcare Guest Services was able to resolve it for you quickly. Bachcare
