Simon “Beautiful place to stay, spacious and relaxing coastal interior design.”
Large out door deck with BBQ and the most stunning sunset view. Close to beaches, vineyards and shops. Driveway is very steep and takes a bit to navigate but we throughly enjoyed out stay and would recommend this charming batch.

Louise “Lovely property to stay at.”
Such a well appointed kitchen and gorgeous decor. Handy to the car ferry. Would thoroughly recommend it. Thank you we had a wonderful holiday.
- Louise, December 2023Mark “Fabulous property.”
It has lovely seaside holiday vibe with Seaviews better than the pictures show. Beautifuly and tastefully decorated. It has everything one could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. True the driveway needs care but then that is very usual on waiheke. We would definately return. Loved it.
- Mark, October 2023Jenna “I was one of three ladies who stayed here for a long weekend in Waiheke.”
We wished we were staying longer and that it was summer so we could make use of the awesome deck which was so well furnished. The views were expansive and I really enjoyed listening to the sounds of the birds which are so different to the birdlife in Canterbury! The decor was so lush and the furniture high quality - even the sofa bed which was by Freedom and super comfortable. These details weren't lost on our group and we really appreciated the quality and attention to detail throughout the house. The bus stop was right outside the house, providing easy access to various locations on the island. I would highly recommend Jellicoe Views as an accommodation option at Waiheke.
- Jenna, August 2023Ross “Very comfortable stay in a handily located house.”
With off street parking as well as a tidy carport which was both handy and functional.
- Ross, July 2023Tony “Great place well set up and conveniently located if you have a car”
- Tony, January 2023John “Great location and house is spacious.”
The only issue, as a lot of people mentioned, is the steepness of the driveway. Accessing is not too much of an issue, but there is a car parked permanently, and it is very hard to turn around the property. We had to back our car down the driveway to ensure we could egress out of the property safely. It would have been so much easier if the car wasn't parked and we can safely turn our car around. Other than the driveway, the house is great and facilities are as well the listing.
- John, October 2022Thanks for staying at Jellicoe Views and for your feedback John. The owners have recently upgraded the driveway to make it easier to use. They have taken your comments on board and the turning bay will be free from now on so you can turn around and park there. Bachcare
Kirsty “Jellicoe is an exceptional little place.”
Its close to everything, it was clean, and was incredibly comfortable with the superior quality beds. We loved our stay and would highly recommend, we will be back!
- Kirsty, May 2022Liz “Well presented home HOWEVER our stay was spoilt by a misrepresentation of the access.”
No street parking available and the steep driveway with terrible camber made getting up and down a perilous experience. Photos on Bachcare showed an almost flat section and we booked expecting just that I would not rebook this steep site again
- Liz, April 2022Sandra “Excellent amenities.”

The property
Welcome to Jellicoe Views! This modern, recently painted, light-filled retreat has been thoughtfully decorated with coastal colours, chic furnishings and contemporary fittings, and enjoys a fantastic view down to the waters surrounding Waiheke Island. This Surfdale holiday home offers a memorable and refreshing stay for anyone looking to escape to this fabulous little island. Whether it's a romantic getaway, two couples heading away to taste some wine, or a small family adventure, Jellicoe Views has you covered. Imagine yourself enjoying the spectacular sunsets and beautiful bird song from the Tuis but what’s most important at this island retreat is the sun. It is abundant all day long until the very moment it slips behind the horizon. Dreamy sunsets are in store all year long. Large open entertaining spaces and huge ceilings with funky pendant lighting sets the tone as you arrive at Jellicoe views. You can lounge out in the well-appointed open plan living and with a seamless flow moves you through onto the accompanying deck to the coveted views of the ocean. Not only is the view worth a gander, but there is an outdoor lounge setting, great outdoor dining table and BBQ waiting to help you whip up some tasty alfresco meals in the sun. Jellicoe Views has everything you need for a laid back stay, including a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine to help kick start each day, a heat pump for winter stays, and a Smart TV with Netflix for entertainment. When it's time to explore your island surroundings, beautiful Palm Beach is a quick five-minute drive away, or Oneroa Beach is also within a five-minute drive. For supplies, the local store, Bar and cafe are in Surfdale Village, just a 12-minute walk or four-minute drive away. If you plan to explore the rest of the island, including the wonderful selection of vineyards, the local bus stop is almost right outside your front door! Head to Waiheke and enjoy your Little Surfdale escape at Jellicoe Views!
Please note the property has a typical Waiheke driveway which is quite steep. Recently the owners have upgraded the driveway to make it more user friendly and there is now a turning bay at the bottom for you to use and park in. If you have more than one vehicle you are also welcome to park across the road from the property.
Also, there is a section of the deck without a barrier with a small drop onto the lower level, all guests should take care when using this area due to the risk of falls.
Please note there is a bus Stop to Kennedy Point and Oneroa/Matiatia at the top of the driveway.
Please note that portacot is available upon request (please do let our team know upon confirming the booking if you need it).
Please note a bond may be charged at certain times of the year. One of our team members will contact you if this is required for your booking.About the location
