    “Really nice place to stay - nice blue bach with some view down to the sea between islands.”

    It is renovated and all you need to stay for few days. Nice little things that shows how the owner really wanted to have this place nice. Working TV, wifi, hot water with enough pressure, comfortable bed and sofas. Good chocolate powder to make a nice warm cuppa :) (and tea/coffee too). Enough space to park car/cars if you have one.

Linen

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

The property

This little blue wonder is called The Butterfly Bach! Positioned to capture great ocean views, this laid back holiday home is a great wee spot for a couple escaping to Waiheke Island, just a 10-minute walk to either Surfdale or Little Oneroa Beach! This Surfdale bach has a mix of modern and homely furnishings and fittings throughout its cosy layout. With everything you might need on hand and ideal no matter what time of year you have in mind. For outdoor living during those warm months, you'll be able to choose from the sheltered courtyard space or the wrap-around sundeck. Whip up some tasty holiday meals in the modern kitchen, then head onto the deck and enjoy it together alfresco with a view! For a wintery break from the hustle and bustle, get comfy on the snug couches and make use of the WiFi and TV with Freeview, while the heat pump ensures you're at just the right temperature. When it's time to explore your island surroundings, Surfdale Beach is a downhill 11-minute walk, or in the other direction it's just a 12-minute walk to Little Oneroa Beach. For supplies, the local store and cafe's in Oneroa Village are a 20-minute walk, 10-minute cycle, or 3-minute drive away. If you plan to explore the rest of the island, including the wonderful selection of vineyards, the local bus stop is just five minutes from your front door. Your Waiheke retreat starts here. Head to the island and take in the views from The Butterfly Bach!

About the location

Surfdale Beach is located on the Western end of Waiheke looking back towards Auckland. The beach can pick up a bit of a breeze, making it a popular place for keen windsurfers and kite surfers. When you're not sitting back and chilling out, Surfdale is just a short drive away from some of the world-class wineries around Waiheke including Cable Bay and Mudbrick Vineyard & Restaurant.
