You can tell it has been loved as well lived in as it just has everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked with even a few essentials in there, which is so welcome :-) it was so well set up and so well positioned, we just loved it! We were two families which was perfect for us. We have the adults upstairs and the kids downstairs. It is batch across the street from the beach so it's pretty damp downstairs, particularly with all the rain we have had, so anyone with any significant allergies just be aware of this.

It's location is just a very short walk to the beach, great for all ages, has plenty of space to relax and enjoy ocean views and there is a good outside shower to rinse the sand and salt away. The house has everything we needed for a really comfortable stay and we look forward to staying there again.

My grandparents were the original owners and I treasure many years of family holidays here - amazed to find it still feels like home. Great renovations too. The house has plenty of spaces for a family or group to gather together or retreat to separate areas. A fabulous location to wander to the beach or nearby weekend markets and to see the spectacular sunrise from the deck. The only downside as noted by a previous review is the lack of a wifi password in the information pack. We look forward to staying here again.

Our linen service will provide all sheets, pillowcases, towels, bath mats, and tea towels for your stay. We’ll also make up the beds for you prior to arrival and strip them down after your departure. Pillows and duvets are provided at the property.

About the location
Whangamata is a favourite holiday destination in the Coromandel. It has one of the best surf breaks in the area, as well as having safe enough swimming for families.
