Grant “Sort Netflix out.”
Info re wifi would help, took until the end of our stay to notice the router on top of the fridge. Minor niggles as we loved the place

Andrew “Great property, just a short drive from town.”
Awesome vibe and fully fenced making it PERFECT for containing our dogs (and kids!). Simple but perfect for our needs! Thanks for having us!
- Andrew, March 2024Jean “We enjoyed a midwinter break at this cosy property.”
It had everything we needed including good heating and a comfortable bed. However a microwave would have been useful for the precooked meals. Also I am assuming for those staying longer there are clothes washing facilities in the small shed by the backdoor. This was locked but we didn't need it for 3 days. We spend two lovely afternoons sitting on the deck reading and enjoying the sun (not something we've seen a lot of in Auckland this year). It is a perfect property for dogs as it is fully fenced and there is a lot of room to play.
- Jean, August 2023Jayne “Always love a microwave, but not one there.”
Couldn't figure out the Netflix stuff. Do we have to pay for it? Did I leave my gloves there, Zero, black ones. Also a pair of blue wool indoor socks. Please post them back. Happy to pay.
- Jayne, July 2023"Thank you for your feedback. No, you do not have to pay for Netflix, this is an owner contribution to your stay however we have taken your comments on board and we will update the TV instructions to make it clearer to access Netflix. The owner has also agreed with your note regarding a microwave and will now have one available at the property. No gloves or socks were found on inspection. We hope to host you again in the near future" Bachcare
Carolyn “Great little house, nice retro vibe.”
Had everything we needed, it was nice and warm, also fully fenced so great for our dog.
- Carolyn, June 2023Stephanie “I really enjoyed my stay and that was primarily due to the lovely bach!”
I was there over a grey ANZAC weekend and and having a lovely home to huddle up in made the grey weather very easy to endure! I had noticed in the comments that one set of previous guests were not impressed, but either their complaints were unfounded or there has been a lot of change since then. This one is going on my list of most memorable baches!
- Stephanie, April 2023Annie “Lovely spot, generous attitude thanks especially re dog.”
- Annie, October 2022Sharon “The photos on the bach site are not what you get.”
Ratty old blinds in the large room. Half the curtain hooks not hooked into rail therefore impossible to move the curtains. The oven smelt of old fat when you turned it on. No cassseroles to cook food in oven. TV instructions were for previous TV. Impossible to use. The bach manager could not work the TV therefore had to phone someone. Netflix only available. All looked lovely on the site. Dont go there. We cut our stay short as we could not stay in the place another day. Revolting.
- Sharon, September 2022Thank you for your feedback and we're sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations on this occasion. We will be working with the owners to ensure the necessary improvements are made. Bachcare
Nicky “Had a really lovely time and wish we could have stayed for longer!”
No idea what the people who complained the cold were on about - we were here in the first week of July and the heaters kept everything nice and cosy :) 20 minute walk to the fish and chippery; not much further into town. Great section for our doggle, too, and we would love to stay again - thank you!
- Nicky, July 2022Karen “Great stay, hope to stay again.”
Very much a kiwi bach and had all we needed, and more! Bachcare was very quick to help when the key wasn't in the location as per instructions. Perfect for a dog, large fully fenced section. Shower is very small if that is a consideration for anyone. All clean and well equipped.
- Karen, April 2022Kevin “Quiet setting secure on section parking,, handy to town the beaches Bays and walking tracks 10/10”
- Kevin, February 2022Michele “The property was a good location with plenty of secure parking in a quite part of town.”
Just like staying at the family Bach. Well equipped.
- Michele, February 2022Anita “Ad pictures were deceiving.”
- Anita, February 2022Senga “We had a wonderful time and the minor blips we had were resolved very quickly.”
Great location and safe for our dogs. The property is a good old fashioned Kiwi bach but the beds were comfy and we didn't want for anything (except for some air conditioning in this very hot summer but we likewd the heat!). We'd stay here again.
- Senga, December 2021Christina “Cute house, nice big fenced garden, sunny, nice decor.”
Would recommend a Summer not Winter stay however- there was no proper heating or insulation so it was freezing and damp in Winter.
- Christina, July 2021Thank you for your review, Christina, we are sorry that the heating provided was not enough for your requirements. The house is fully insulated and has wall heaters in the lounge and both bedrooms. We will follow up with the owner to provide additional heating solutions. Bachcare

N B “Very comfortable house.”
Warm in the winter. Enjoyed the west facing sunshine on the comfy sofa.
- N B, June 2021Geoff “Raglan is a lovely little town Property was approx.”
1Km. further away from town than was shown on the map supplied. Could not find washing machine, iron & vacuum cleaner, that were listed as items available. We had several other issues which added to our discomfort.
- Geoff, April 2021Thank you for your feedback, Geoff. We are sorry to hear that you could not find the items mentioned. They are at the property - the washing machine and vacuum are in the separate laundry and the iron is in the master bedroom wardrobe. Our friendly Holiday Manager is just a call away if you need any help or have concerns about the property you are staying at. There is plenty of indoor living space and a long couch to stretch out on. The location is perfect and close to both the wharf and town. There are nooks and crannies to explore in the surrounding streets. We had a much needed rest!
