About the location

Masterton is the largest town in the Wairarapa, and acts as the service centre for the region. Masterton is home to The New Zealand Shear Discovery Centre, which celebrates the value of wool to the New Zealand economy and culture, and is the home of the International Golden Shear Competition, which has been held in Masterton for nearly 50 years. Visitors will enjoy a day at the redeveloped recreation centre, with one of the longest hydroslides in New Zealand, as well as a number of pools, spas, and a gym facility. Aratoi is the Wairarapa's museum of art and history, highlighting the art and history unique to the region.

    “The two bathrooms listed for upstairs were misleading.”

    We had three couples staying upstairs, sharing one loo and a shower, which was in one of the bedrooms. The bath might be flash, but a shower would have been much more practical. But the property was lovely.
